But long-time indie fans recognized the opponents as New York indie veterans <strong>The Beaver Boys<\/strong> &#8211; featuring reigning <strong>Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW)<\/strong> World Heavyweight Champion <strong>John Silver<\/strong> and his longtime partner <strong>Alex Reynolds<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Heavy Machinery vs. Johnny Silver &amp; Alex Keaton: SmackDown LIVE, Sept. 10, 2019\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_kOGNI3gg9k?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The two New York City wrestlers began working together as the <strong>Slophunters<\/strong> in 2011, working with NYC&#8217;s <strong>New York Wrestling Connection (NYWC)<\/strong> and Delaware&#8217;s <strong>East Coast Wrestling Association (ECWA)<\/strong>. In 2013, they renamed themselves the Beaver Boys, where they&#8217;ve become one of the top indie tag teams on the East Coast, working with <strong>Beyond Wrestling, Ring of Honor<\/strong>, CZW, <strong>EVOLVE Wrestling, CHIKARA<\/strong>, and more, as well as stints on the West Coast with <strong>Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG)<\/strong>. They&#8217;re former PWG, CZW and NYWC Tag Team Champions. The duo&#8217;s last match together was this past July in a dark match for <em><strong>EVOLVE 131<\/strong><\/em>, the 10th Anniversary event that aired on the WWE Network, defeating <strong>Milk Chocolate<\/strong> (Brandon Watts &amp; Randy Summers).<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"[Free Match] Beaver Boys v The Butcher &amp; The Blade | Beyond Wrestling #UnchartedTerritory (Tag Team)\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/01T3SG4nVAM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s the third WWE appearance for John Silver, who faced <strong>Lars Sullivan<\/strong> on NXT TV last year, and teamed with <strong>Dan Delaney<\/strong> in a handicap squash match against <strong>Ryback<\/strong> at <em><strong>No Way Out<\/strong> <\/em>in 2012. Alex Reynolds previously lost to <strong>Kane<\/strong> on <em><strong>Main Event<\/strong><\/em> in 2016, and appeared on <em><strong>205 Live<\/strong><\/em> in 2017 in a loss to <strong>Akira Tozawa<\/strong>. This was their first time appearing for the WWE as The Beaver Boys, and to have it happen at MSG must have been a great thrill to two longtime New Yorkers.
