British Wrestling referee\u00a0Aaren Wilde\u00a0<\/strong>has been injured following a post match attack following a botched finish to a match between\u00a0Aussie Open\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Sha Samuels<\/strong> & Josh Bodom<\/strong> at RevPro’s Summer Sizzler <\/em>event.\u00a0 Wilde states that this attack “..was not planned”.\u00a0 One fan also claimed that Bodom went after the referee post-match but Wilde only singles out Samuels.<\/p>\n

The referee who has reffed for RevPro, RIPTIDE Wrestling<\/strong>, FutureShock Wrestling,<\/strong>\u00a0and PROGRESS Wrestling\u00a0<\/strong>suffered a “…neck and shoulder injury…” that has left him unable to referee, for wrestling or football.<\/p>\n

As of this writing, RevPro has not paid Wilde for his role on the show.<\/del> (Wilde has since been paid) And is accepting donations from any willing to help him via PayPal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Last weekend at RevPro I was attacked after the Royal Quest tag match. This was not part of the show, it was not planned.<\/em><\/p>\n

I was grabbed and slammed to the mat by Sha and then something happened on the outside. I honesty don\u2019t know what, that part was a blur.<\/em><\/p>\n

As a result, I have sustained a much-more-serious-than-originally-thought neck and shoulder injury that means I am no longer able to referee.<\/em><\/p>\n

I hate the term \u2018retire\u2019, so I\u2019ll say this; I am indefinitely unable to referee due to medical restrictions.<\/em><\/p>\n

The intended winners (Aussies) still won, albeit 5 minutes quicker on a show that ran over by over 45 minutes. I am still shocked, upset and in disbelief at why this happened and why it has been condoned by RevPro\/Andy Quildan.<\/em><\/p>\n

500+ matches, 1 botched ending. That one.<\/em><\/p>\n

I have spent the last 7\/8 days in many feelings. Anger, sadness, frustration. I truly adored performing as a referee and now, at least for the foreseeable future, I am medically unable to do so.<\/em><\/p>\n

I truly hope that I can recover to pursue it again.<\/em><\/p>\n

There are so many things that can be said about last weekend, but I would prefer to not write an essay of negativity.<\/em><\/p>\n

For now I am also unable to football referee (my main income) due to the injury.<\/em><\/p>\n

Update:\u00a0<\/strong>RevPro have released an official statement on the incident in question.\u00a0 They have severed ties with Bodom and stripped him and Sha Samuels off their tag team championships.\u00a0 Samuels who issued an apology<\/a> will remain in RevPro.<\/p>\n
