At\u00a0<em>SummerSlam<\/em>, a Seven Year War will be reignited.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Six-Pack Challenge: WWE 205 Live, Aug. 6, 2019\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7UzdfIT4rMw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>For Oney Lorcan, it marks a huge journey from NXT&#8217;s Live Events to making NXT television, to forming the dependable tag team with <strong>Danny Burch<\/strong> (former UK indie star <strong>Martin Stone<\/strong>), who has been utilized in both NXT and <strong>NXT UK<\/strong>. He made his debut on\u00a0<em>205 Live\u00a0<\/em>earlier this year. But for Oney Lorcan and Drew Gulak, it&#8217;s the culmination of a seven-year war that began in the US indies.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_52002\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-52002\" style=\"width: 369px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-52002\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/08\/busick.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"369\" height=\"416\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-52002\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Chaotic Wrestling<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Both Gulak and Orcan &#8211; who competed on the US indies as <strong>Bif Busick<\/strong> &#8211; were products of the East Coast of the US. Drew Gulak, from Philadelphia, come up through the <strong>Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW)<\/strong> and <strong>CHIKARA<\/strong> schools, while Boston&#8217;s Bif Busick grew up in the New England indies. Both men had trainers of prestige &#8211; Gulak was trained by <strong>Mike Quackenbush<\/strong> and <strong>Chris Hero<\/strong>, while Busick travelled to Calgary, Alberta, Canada to get his tutelage under <strong>Lance Storm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_52003\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-52003\" style=\"width: 334px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-52003\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/08\/10073513423_41f7ca67ca_b-e1565291835395.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"334\" height=\"500\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-52003\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Oli Sandler<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The two first encountered each other in New England with <strong>Beyond Wrestling<\/strong> in 2012, at <em><strong>Swamp Sessions<\/strong><\/em>. Busick had made his Beyond debut that year, after working with <strong>Chaotic Wrestling<\/strong> since 2008, while Gulak had made his own Beyond debut the year before, after establishing himself as a star with both CZW and CHIKARA since 2005. The August prior, Drew Gulak had captured the CZW World Heavyweight Championship from MASADA and defended it for over 270 days, against the likes of <strong>AJ Styles<\/strong>, Chris Hero, <strong>Timothy Thatcher, AR Fox<\/strong>, and <strong>Roderick Strong<\/strong>. In April 2014 at <em><strong>CZW To Infinity<\/strong><\/em>, Busick got his chance. After a brutal contest, Gulak retained, but the fight was far from over. A month later at <em><strong>CZW Proving Grounds &#8217;14<\/strong><\/em>, Busick was finally successful, ending Gulak&#8217;s reign as CZW World Champion at 273 days.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The NEW CZW World Heavyweight Champion! But as much as they warred, they were also frequent tag team partners. In <strong>Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG)<\/strong> and <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2019\/07\/23\/promotional-consideration-smash-wrestling-toronto-ontario\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Canada&#8217;s <strong>Smash Wrestling<\/strong><\/a>, the two primarily competed together in the tag team <strong>Fourth Gunn<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Free Match: Roderick Strong &amp; Eddie Edwards v Drew Gulak &amp; Biff Busick (Oney Lorcan) | NXT Wrestling\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MwHu9brO48c?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>But since both arrived in WWE &#8211; Lorcan in the fall of 2015, and Gulak a year later in the winter of 2016 &#8211; they have yet to meet face to face in the ring.
