And thus, <strong>PROGRESS Wrestling<\/strong> was born. Soon after, a third man, actor Glen Joseph, joined the management team, and soon, PROGRESS was off and running. For seven years, PROGRESS has gone from aspiring new promotion to one of the leaders of the BritWres movement that has lead to the unparalleled global boom of the UK Indie Scene.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Jim Smallman Opens Day Two of PROGRESS Wrestling&#039;s SSS16 2016\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8NSgYpIWDGk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Over the years, alongside companies like <strong>Revolution Pro (RevPro), Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW), Over The Top (OTT) Wrestling, International Pro Wrestling (IPW)<\/strong>, and more, PROGRESS helped bring back the lustre of professional wrestling to the United Kingdom and Ireland, in a way not seen since the last days of World of Sport in the 1980s. Following the launch of NXT UK as a brand on the WWE Network, <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2018\/07\/13\/progress-owner-jim-smallman-hints-involvement-with-nxt-uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Smallman found himself part of the WWE&#8217;s United Kingdom team<\/a>.
