It&#8217;s a tragic promotion for Suwama, who assumes the position that had previously been held by reigning AJPW World Junior Heavyweight Champion <strong>Atsushi Aoki<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2019\/06\/03\/all-japan-junior-heavyweight-champion-atsushi-aoki-dead-at-41\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">who sadly passed away earlier this month<\/a>.\u00a0Atsushi Aoki was promoted to President of Talent Relations in 2016 and was also the head trainer at the All Japan Dojo.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/twitter.com\/alljapan_eng\/status\/1141284013375705088<\/p>\n<p>For Suwama, it&#8217;s another step up in the All Japan hierarchy, for a company he&#8217;s spent his entire 15-year career with. Trained by <strong>Hiroshi Hase<\/strong> and <strong>Kaz Hayashi<\/strong>, he debuted with All Japan in 2004, winning his first Triple Crown at <em><strong>AJPW Growing Up<\/strong><\/em> on April 29, 2008, defeating legend Kensuke Sasaki. Apart from his six reigns as Triple Crown Champion (which are the most by any All Japan wrestler in history), the 42-year old has also captured the AJPW World Tag Team titles on four occasions, with the past three (including his current and reigning run) as part of\u00a0<strong>Violent Giants<\/strong> alongside former Triple Crown Champion <strong>Shuji Ishikawa<\/strong>.
