On Saturday night, Major League Wrestling (MLW)<\/strong> revealed another addition to the MLW roster following a big week of announcements. It was revealed that former 3x IMPACT<\/strong> World Heavyweight Champion and 2x Ring of Honor<\/strong> World Champion Austin Aries<\/strong> was heading to MLW.<\/p>\n

MLW Signs Austin Aries<\/h2>\n

It marks the return to wrestling television for the former World Champion for the first time since his final appearance for IMPACT Wrestling at last October’s Bound For Glory<\/strong><\/em>, where he lost his IMPACT World Championship to Johnny Impact<\/strong> in controversial fashion<\/a>. Since then, Aries has kept a mostly low profile, working a handful of dates for Hawaiian indie promotion Unify Championship Entertainment (UCE)<\/strong>, as well as Chicago’s Warrior Wrestling<\/strong> and Australia’s World Series Wrestling<\/strong>, where he is also a former 2x WSW World Champion. A former 6x IMPACT X-Division Champion, he made his return to IMPACT in January of 2018 after a two-year stint with WWE as part of NXT and WWE’s Cruiserweight division on\u00a0205 Live<\/strong><\/em>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Prior to joining the WWE, Aries had briefly returned to Ring of Honor following a five-year run with TNA\/IMPACT Wrestling. That followed a 7-year career-defining run with ROH that saw him capture the ROH World title on two occasions. Earlier this week, MLW announced the signing of Ross & Marshall Von Erich<\/strong>, the tag team duo and son of wrestling legend Kevin Von Erich<\/strong>, that may finally see the fabled families of the Harts and Von Erichs finally clash in-ring<\/a>.<\/p>\n
