WWE today announced three new recruits for the WWE Performance Center.\u00a0 One of which is the already announced\u00a0KUSHIDA<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>who many will know from his time in\u00a0New Japan Pro Wrestling.<\/strong>\u00a0 The other two were lucha royalty\u00a0Garza Jr\u00a0<\/strong>and independent wrestling star\u00a0Shane\u00a0<\/strong>“Swerve”\u00a0Strickland.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The International King Of Swerve<\/a> comes to WWE with a resume of world title wins and tons of television experience.\u00a0 His high flying style made him a perfect fit for\u00a0Lucha Underground\u00a0<\/strong>where he played\u00a0Killshot<\/strong>.\u00a0 He was a key player in later seasons of the show as his character developed into a more heelish, arrogant persona.\u00a0 He was also heavily featured in the early stages of Major League Wrestling<\/strong>‘s weekly show MLW Fusion as their babyface ace in the show’s early days.\u00a0 His in-ring talents mixed with his infectious charisma made him a sure-fire star and once\u00a0the\u00a0Keith Lee’s\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Matt Riddle’s\u00a0<\/strong>departed the scene Strickland stepped up.\u00a0 He leaves the indie scene as a former\u00a0PCW ULTRA Heavyweight Champion<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>EVOLVE Champion<\/strong>,\u00a0MLW World Heavyweight Champion, WC (WrestleCircus<\/a>) Ringmaster Champion\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0CZW World Heavyweight Champion<\/strong>.\u00a0 Strickland could be a big get for NXT and a future star if managed properly.<\/p>\n

Cousin of\u00a0Humberto Carrillo\u00a0<\/strong>and someone that has been on the WWE radar for a long time, and we mean a very long time<\/a>.\u00a0 He is a member of a Lucha dynasty as the grandson of\u00a0El Ninja\u00a0<\/strong>and nephew of\u00a0Hector Garza<\/strong>, his last few years in Mexico didn’t see him achieve much success as he was always rumored to be on the verge of joining WWE but he has been a major part of\u00a0The CRASH Lucha Libre\u00a0<\/strong>as a big heel for some time now.\u00a0 He also has previous experience with televised wrestling as he was previously a member of the Impact Wrestling\u00a0<\/strong>roster when he teamed with\u00a0Laredo Kid\u00a0<\/strong>as part of the tag team division.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
