He was showcased, but not necessarily pushed, during a tenure with NXT, but most believed he was just being rushed through NXT to get up to speed on WWE production (having previously worked with them from 2009 through 2013). After less than a year in NXT, he was announced as joining\u00a0<em>Raw\u00a0<\/em>or\u00a0<em>SmackDown Live\u00a0<\/em>late last year. He&#8217;s made his appearances, in odd backstage segments, but so far his entire run on the &#8220;main roster&#8221; has been in losses on\u00a0<em><strong>Main Event<\/strong><\/em><em>,\u00a0<\/em>facing the likes of\u00a0<strong>Apollo Crews, Tyler Breeze\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Tye Dillinger<\/strong>. And while he&#8217;s at a losing record yet on\u00a0<em>Main Event<\/em> (despite what some may say), he&#8217;s not setting the WWE Universe on fire.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_43912\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-43912\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-43912\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/04\/Rockstar-Spud-And-Ethan-Carter-III-e1554864431139.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"316\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-43912\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: IMPACT<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>But in a match taped for this week&#8217;s edition of\u00a0<em>Main Event<\/em>, EC3 came out in front of the Brooklyn audience and was accompanied by a new manager. Well, to be completely accurate, it was with an old friend. His new manager is\u00a0<em><strong>205 Live<\/strong><\/em><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>General Manager\u00a0<strong>Drew Maverick<\/strong>, who most recently guided the\u00a0<strong>Authors of Pain\u00a0<\/strong>to the Raw Tag Team titles. But\u00a0<strong>IMPACT\u00a0<\/strong>watchers will remember a time in TNA when Maverick, then known as\u00a0<strong>Rockstar Spud<\/strong>, and\u00a0EC3 were a duo who ran the company.
