The first BOTB debuted in 2001 and over the years it&#8217;s seen the best of the US indies compete against international stars, with the likes of <strong>Trent Acid, B-Boy, Sonjay Dutt, Mike Quackenbush, Adam Cole, Sami Callihan, Mike &#8220;Speedball&#8221; Bailey, Jonathan Gresham<\/strong> and <strong>David Starr<\/strong> winning the tournament, with many more taking part. She faces another legend in Aussie superstar <strong>Shazza McKenzie<\/strong>, an 11-year pro with Aussie indies like <strong>Pro Wrestling Australia (PWA Black Label), Melbourne City Wrestling (MCW)<\/strong>, and others, plus a veteran of the US scene with <strong>SHIMMER<\/strong> since 2012. Featuring <strong>Ellis Taylor, Charlie Tiger<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Griffin McCoy<\/strong>, the three young athletic wrestlers are the undeniable future of the CZW Tag Team division.\u00a0<strong>IFHY<\/strong> are a young emerging tag team from Indiana that has spent the last year developing with Indiana&#8217;s <strong>Paradigm Pro Wrestling (PPW), Pro Wrestling Freedoms<\/strong> and <strong>Southern Underground Pro (SUP)<\/strong>. The team is comprised of young stars who are multi-generational wrestlers. <strong>Shawn Kemp<\/strong> is the 20-year old son of 18-year indie veteran <strong>TJ Kemp<\/strong> (of Hoosier Pro Wrestling), while <strong>Jonathan Wol<\/strong>f is a third generation wrestler, son of 23-year indie wrestler<strong> Joey Owens<\/strong> (of PPW, IWA Mid South, and Insanity Pro Wrestling) and grandson of 39-year pro<strong> Don Basher<\/strong>, who competed in <strong>Central Wrestling Federation\/NWA Indiana<\/strong> and others since 1985. Like many early 2000s pioneers, he&#8217;s seeing a resurgence in the US indies of late and with due recognition. It&#8217;s been two years since Carter competed for CZW, but winning BOTB 18 would make an immediate statement.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>David Starr,\u00a0<em>4th BOTB (Won in 2018)<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_43731\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-43731\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-43731\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/04\/52887337_2127563300637652_1948941028031463424_n-e1554745519812.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-43731\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: CZW<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>David Starr<\/strong> is finally breaking out in the US, after years as a main event star in the UK and Germany. The American indie grappler is one of the best on the mic and last year finally won BOTB in his third attempt. He&#8217;s back for his fourth BOTB tournament and hopes to become the first man to win the tournament back to back.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Fred Yehi,\u00a0<em>BOTB Debut<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_43718\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-43718\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-43718\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/04\/D2ikgRjXgAIzUfH-e1554745838819.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-43718\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: CZW<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Georgia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Fred Yehi\u00a0<\/strong>has been on many people&#8217;s lists as one of the most underrated talents in the US. A former <strong>Full Impact Pro<\/strong> World Heavyweight Champion (for over 550 days!), Yehi was also a focal point in <strong>EVOLVE<\/strong>&#8216;s <strong>Catch Point<\/strong> stable with <strong>Drew Gulak, Matt Riddle, TJ Perkins, &#8220;Hot Sauce&#8221; Tracy Williams<\/strong>, and <strong>Doom Patrol<\/strong> (Chris Dickinson &amp; Jaka). The longtime tag team star (who competes with brother Matt in The Lynch Mob), Lynch is a tough brawler with unsuspecting athleticism, which he displayed <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2018\/08\/06\/joey-lynch-wins-2018-scenic-city-invitational-tournament\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">winning the <strong>Scenic City Invitational<\/strong> last year.<\/a>\u00a0His work of late<a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2019\/02\/28\/two-southern-indie-wrestlers-heading-to-wwe-tryout\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> has even caught the attention of WWE<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>John Silver<\/strong>,\u00a0<em><strong>BOTB Debut<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_43717\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-43717\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-43717\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/04\/D2ikePNWwAEabcm-e1554745815227.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-43717\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: CZW<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Despite a lengthy career with CZW going back to 2011, this year marks the BOTB debut for\u00a0<strong>John Silver<\/strong>. Only wrestling since 2016, Oliver is already wearing CZW gold, as the company&#8217;s reigning CZW Wired Champion. Part of the Rascalz faction on the indies with\u00a0<strong>Dezmond Xavier, Zachary Wentz\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Trey Miguel\u00a0<\/strong>(although not featured on the IMPACT incarnation), he&#8217;s primarily known as a tag team specialist, winning tag team gold in <strong>All American Wrestling (AAW)<\/strong> with<strong> AR Fox<\/strong>, <strong>Glory Pro<\/strong> with <strong>Stephen Wolf<\/strong> and<strong> IWA Mid South<\/strong>, with both Trey Miguel and\u00a0<strong>Sugar Dunkerton<\/strong>.
