{"id":42923,"date":"2019-04-05T16:10:27","date_gmt":"2019-04-05T20:10:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/?p=42923"},"modified":"2019-04-07T17:11:03","modified_gmt":"2019-04-07T21:11:03","slug":"wrestlemania-preview-bobby-lashley-vs-finn-balor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2019\/04\/05\/wrestlemania-preview-bobby-lashley-vs-finn-balor\/","title":{"rendered":"WrestleMania Preview: Bobby Lashley vs Finn B\u00e1lor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>B\u00e1lor and Lashley will look to put an end to a grudge that has it&#8217;s roots in November of last year when Lashley along with\u00a0<strong>Baron Corbin\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Drew McIntyre<\/strong> made life hell for the babyfaces on RAW.\u00a0 Ever since then these two have not liked each other one bit.<\/p>\n<p>Bobby Lashley, with hype man\u00a0<strong>Lio Rush\u00a0<\/strong>in tow, won the\u00a0<strong>Intercontinental Championship<\/strong> back in January in a triple threat match featuring\u00a0<strong>Seth Rollins\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Dean Ambrose.\u00a0<\/strong>Lio Rush would then get pinned at Elimination Chamber to lose Lashley&#8217;s IC Championship to B\u00e1lor.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_42928\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-42928\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42928\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/03\/Rush-Lashley-vs-Finn-EC-e1554064831211.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-42928\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WWE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>This lead to a period of turmoil for The Almighty Lashley and Rush where Lashley felt he was done with Rush.\u00a0 Rush was forced to try his hardest to get back Lashley&#8217;s IC title for him as an apology.\u00a0 On the March 11th edition of RAW Lashley faced B\u00e1lor for the Championship and thanks to Rush&#8217;s interference won back the title.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_42927\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-42927\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42927\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/03\/Finn-vs-Bobby-e1554064726249.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-42927\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WWE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The next week B\u00e1lor got a measure of revenge when he teamed with\u00a0<strong>Braun Strowman\u00a0<\/strong>to face Rush and Lashley in tag team competition and emerged victorious.\u00a0 A match was then made for RAW the next week, another handicap match as Lashley and Rush were scheduled to face B\u00e1lor with the caveat that if B\u00e1lor won he would get a rematch for the Intercontinental Championship.\u00a0 Lashley stacked the deck against B\u00e1lor at the last minute by replacing Rush with former\u00a0<strong>WWE Champion\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Jinder Mahal<\/strong>.\u00a0 In a brave display, B\u00e1lor defied the odds and won the match making the rematch official.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Finn B\u00e1lor vs. Bobby Lashley &amp; Jinder Mahal - 1-on-2 Handicap Match: Raw, March 25, 2019\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vHbmVT608do?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>For months now these two men have been a thorn in each other&#8217;s side and have done battle multiple times over the Intercontinental Championship.\u00a0 At WrestleMania, they do it all one more time as B\u00e1lor gets a second chance in a row to leave Mania as Intercontinental Champion.\u00a0 On the go home RAW before WrestleMania Bobby and Lio learned that they had poked the bear one too many times as\u00a0B\u00e1lor would be unleashing the Demon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prediction:\u00a0<\/strong>The Demon is undefeated on main roster WWE and is one of the most protected gimmicks they have.\u00a0 Lashley may have bitten off more than he can chew by summoning the Demon and he will pay with his IC Championship.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Stay tuned to the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Last Word on Pro Wrestling<\/a>\u00a0for more on this and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
