{"id":41599,"date":"2019-03-30T21:40:56","date_gmt":"2019-03-31T01:40:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/?p=41599"},"modified":"2019-03-30T21:42:29","modified_gmt":"2019-03-31T01:42:29","slug":"wrestlemaniaweek-preview-ipw-uk-4-5-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2019\/03\/30\/wrestlemaniaweek-preview-ipw-uk-4-5-19\/","title":{"rendered":"#WrestleManiaWeek Preview &#8211; IPW UK (4\/5\/19)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>IPW: UK were late to the party with their Mania weekend announcements but have put together a card with some of their own stars getting a chance to face some underrated North American talent.\u00a0 The headline match of\u00a0<strong>Jimmy Havoc\u00a0<\/strong>vs\u00a0<strong>James Storm\u00a0<\/strong>might entice people to go to the show but talent like\u00a0<strong>Connor Mills<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Rob Sharpe<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Bobbi Tyler\u00a0<\/strong>and more will get people talking.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>6-Way Match: Connor Mills vs. Danny Duggan vs. OJMO vs. Cieran\u00a0Donnelly vs. ??? vs. ???<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_42517\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-42517\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42517\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/03\/D2naOYlX0AEQ-jW-e1553645469577.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"370\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-42517\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: IPW<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Some of British Wrestling&#8217;s brightest young talents do battle.\u00a0 Connor Mills has already competed for the likes of\u00a0<strong>PROGRESS\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Fight Club: PRO\u00a0<\/strong>already in his young career and has wrestled for most of the UK&#8217;s top indies.\u00a0 The OJMO\u00a0was known for his team with\u00a0<strong>Big T Justice\u00a0<\/strong>but his part in\u00a0<strong>PROGRESS&#8217;\u00a0<\/strong>Freedoms Road series reminded people of his entertaining skills.\u00a0 Duggan set out to revitalize his career in 2018 even spending time under\u00a0<strong>Katsuyori Shibata\u00a0<\/strong>and has started off 2018 with some impressive performances for\u00a0<strong>Wrestle Gate Pro<\/strong>.\u00a0 2018 could be the year Duggan makes his name in the UK.\u00a0 Donnelly has been a regular with IPW since 2014 and is most known for his tag team with Duggan where he was a 2-time IPW Tag Team Champion.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Rob Sharpe vs. Joe Gacy<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_42513\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-42513\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42513\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/03\/D2hwM8_XcAMiMo8-e1553645531219.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"346\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-42513\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: IPW<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>An interesting clash here as\u00a0<strong>EVOLVE\u00a0<\/strong>tag team champion Joe Gacy takes on\u00a0<strong>Frontline Openweight\u00a0<\/strong>Champion Rob Sharpe.\u00a0 Sharpe is a former tag champion in IPW as a member of The Filthy Club alongside\u00a0<strong>Jack Sexsmith\u00a0<\/strong>who turned his back on Sharpe last year costing the duo the tag titles.\u00a0 Gacy has long been one of the most underrated talents on the US indie scene despite his years spent in\u00a0<strong>Combat Zone Wrestling\u00a0<\/strong>(CZW) where he was a 2-time CZW World Champion and a 3-time Wired Champion.\u00a0 Gacy is a name on the rise and his spot in EVOLVE guarantees him a good spot in the US scene but Sharpe needs this.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Rob Lynch vs. Gino &#8220;Juicy&#8221; Gambino<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_42515\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-42515\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42515\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/03\/D2hwM9NXcAAcvWf-e1553645488151.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"346\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-42515\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: IPW<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Battle Tested Rob Lynch goes to battle with Juicy Gino Gambino.\u00a0 Gambino is most known for joining the Bullet Club and working the Australian indie scene.\u00a0 Lynch, like Gambino, is not a top tier star yet but can have good, hard-hitting\u00a0matches.\u00a0 Lynch had the best part of his career as part of the\u00a0<strong>London Riots\u00a0<\/strong>in PROGRESS as part of\u00a0<strong>The REGRESSION\u00a0<\/strong>and being tag team champion. Despite both men being relatively young, there is 2 decades of experience in the ring in this match that is sure to be a war.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Title For Title: IPW Women&#8217;s Champion Bobbi Tyler vs. House of Glory Women&#8217;s Champion Sonya Strong<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_42559\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-42559\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42559\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/03\/D2rAMlqXQAAYVd0-e1553709693125.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"347\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-42559\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: IPW<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A possible show stealer here in this Title vs Title clash.\u00a0 Bobbi Tyler recently reclaimed the title from\u00a0<strong>Sierra Loxton\u00a0<\/strong>to kick off her second run as champion.\u00a0 Her time in\u00a0<strong>Stardom\u00a0<\/strong>clearly did her some good as she has come back to the UK in fine form.\u00a0 IPW is her main stomping ground but Tyler is also a part of the RevPro women&#8217;s championship scene.\u00a0 Tyler faces an\u00a0<strong>Amazing Red\u00a0<\/strong>trainee and the star of the HOG women&#8217;s division.\u00a0 Strong won the women&#8217;s title in August last year and has since defended it against the likes of\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/2018\/04\/27\/prospect-watch-jordynne-grace\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jordynne Grace<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/2019\/03\/01\/indie-watch-aliens-among-us-kris-statlander-ready-to-conquer-the-world\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kris Statlander\u00a0<\/a><\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Kimber Lee.<\/strong>\u00a0 Strong has spent her entire 4 year career wrestling primarily for HOG and honing her abilities but she is now ready to take on one of the UK&#8217;s best and brightest.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Kip Sabian vs. Vaughn Vertigo<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_42516\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-42516\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-42516\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/03\/D2iaUxAW0AEfDmQ-e1553645506981.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"346\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-42516\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: IPW<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Former IPW World Champion and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/2019\/02\/20\/uk-star-kip-sabian-joins-aew\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">AEW signee<\/a> Kip Sabian takes on a rising star in Vaughn Vertigo.\u00a0 Vertigo is 23 years old, but has already been wrestling for 6 years and has impressed everywhere he&#8217;s been so far.\u00a0 Vertigo is set to have a big future in Wrestling and an impressive showing over WrestleMania weekend could be the launch pad he needs.\u00a0 Vertigo&#8217;s opponent is someone that has already found that launch pad with his recent signing to AEW.\u00a0 Sabian has been featured on National Television in the UK as part of\u00a0<strong>World Of Sport\u00a0<\/strong>where he was a tag team champion and is a former IPWUK World Champion.\u00a0 Two young wrestlers will compete as both look to make the most of their opportunity.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>No Rules Bar Room Brawl: &#8220;Cowboy&#8221;
