After just over a month with the company, he&#8217;s spent the past week with the WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, where he&#8217;s now been given a &#8220;full time executive level role&#8221; in WWE Creative going forward, joining <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2019\/02\/23\/reports-bruce-prichard-re-hired-by-wwe-for-creative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">recently returning <strong>Bruce Prichard<\/strong><\/a> (who is a new Senior Vice President) as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2019\/03\/03\/report-betsy-kelso-is-new-head-writer-for-the-womens-division\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">recently promoted women&#8217;s lead writer <strong>Betsy Kelso<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-40194\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/03\/7831_1485460821_640x360-e1552003711553.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><\/p>\n<p>Jeff Jarrett debuted with his father Jerry Jarrett&#8217;s <strong>Continental Wrestling Association (CWA)<\/strong> in Memphis, where he was one of the hottest young prospects in the country in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He joined the WWE in 1992 and spent four years with the company, moving to the top of the mid-card and becoming a 3x WWE Intercontinental Champion in his first run.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_40195\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-40195\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-40195\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/03\/7SU7ZrW-e1552003762230.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-40195\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WWE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In October 1996, he jumped ship to rival WCW during the beginnings of the Monday Night Wars, where he would win the WCW United States Championship, and flirt with joining the <strong>Four Horsemen<\/strong> before ultimately being expelled from the group. Following the end of his one year deal, he returned to the WWE once again.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-40196\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/03\/e85cd745d2e4faf701d9a53297eee0e4-e1552003924350.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\"><\/p>\n<p>His second run with the WWE produced three more Intercontinental reigns as well as a WWE World Tag Team title run alongside <strong>Owen Hart<\/strong>. He would become a 6x NWA World&#8217;s Heavyweight Champion in TNA\/IMPACT, until his company was sold to Panda Energy and his power began to wane. He&#8217;s also worked extensively with AAA in Mexico, including two reigns as the AAA Mega Champion. He made his WWE ring return at this year&#8217;s <strong>Royal Rumble<\/strong>, appearing on several episodes of <strong>Raw<\/strong> after his return.
