{"id":39409,"date":"2019-02-27T12:36:16","date_gmt":"2019-02-27T17:36:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/?p=39409"},"modified":"2019-02-27T12:36:16","modified_gmt":"2019-02-27T17:36:16","slug":"aew-updates-double-or-nothing-partners-with-kulturecity-for-sensory-inclusion-bea-priestley-signing-and-more","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2019\/02\/27\/aew-updates-double-or-nothing-partners-with-kulturecity-for-sensory-inclusion-bea-priestley-signing-and-more\/","title":{"rendered":"AEW Updates: Double or Nothing Partners with KultureCity for Sensory Inclusion, Bea Priestley Signing and More"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On this week&#8217;s <em><strong>AEW &#8211; The Road to Double or Nothing<\/strong><\/em> episode, the fifth in the series, <strong>Brandi Rhodes<\/strong> took center stage as she announced <strong>Bea Priestley<\/strong> will be joining the roster for the newly named Jacksonville show in July, &#8220;<em><strong>Fight for the Fallen<\/strong><\/em>,&#8221; (<a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2019\/01\/08\/everything-you-need-to-know-about-all-elite-wrestling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the show where <strong>Cody<\/strong> announced during the first AEW press conference that a portion of the gate will go to victims of gun violence<\/a>) and revealed more information about <em><strong>Double or Nothing<\/strong><\/em> being the world&#8217;s first-ever sensory inclusive wrestling event. <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2019\/02\/07\/everything-we-know-about-aew-following-double-or-nothing-rally\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">With signings like <strong>Sonny Kiss<\/strong> and <strong>Nyla Rose<\/strong><\/a>, the first transgender athlete signed to a major wrestling promotion, Rhodes&#8217; announcement of the partnership with KultureCity continues to show that &#8220;AEW is for everyone&#8221; is well beyond just lip service.<\/p>\n<p>KultureCity was born out of the common goal of parents everywhere who wanted others to not just be aware but be accepting of children with autism. Considered to be a movement, KultureCity credits these families as being the backbone of the organization <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kulturecity.org\/our-story\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">citing on their website<\/a>, &#8220;KultureCity owes its birthright not to any one person, or any few, but to the many thousands of people who make up the KultureCity family &#8211; families who have worked tirelessly for acceptance and better future for their children with autism. One of the things KultureCity does so well is they provide training for all of the staff so our staff at the MGM Grand and Garden Arena will be fully prepared to take care of and field anything that happens to anyone dealing with any of those issues. In 2016, she debuted for the short-lived <strong>What Culture Pro Wrestling<\/strong> (now <strong>Defiant Wrestling<\/strong>), as one of the promotion&#8217;s main female stars alongside <strong>Nixon Newell<\/strong> (<strong>WWE<\/strong>\/<em><strong>NXT UK<\/strong><\/em>&#8216;s <strong>Tegan Nox<\/strong>). Between WCPW\/Defiant she is the promotion&#8217;s only two-time champion, winning the women&#8217;s title in 2017 and again in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Bea Priestley also wrestled for <strong>PROGRESS<\/strong>, <strong>International Pro Wrestling: UK<\/strong>, <strong>Revolution Pro Wrestling<\/strong> and <strong>Over the Top Wrestling<\/strong> that year. In 2017, Priestley made her first tour of Japan&#8217;s <strong>World Wonder Ring Stardom<\/strong> where she teamed with <strong>Kelly Klein<\/strong> in the <em><strong>Goddesses of Stardom Tag League<\/strong><\/em>, which the two won, and feuded with <strong>Io Shirai<\/strong>, <strong>Momo Watanabe<\/strong> and their group <strong>Queen&#8217;s Quest<\/strong>, a stable she joined a year later. Returning to Stardom in 2018, Priestley took part in several high profile title matches and the Goddesses of Stardom Tag League for the second year in a row, where alongside <strong>Chardonnay<\/strong> they reached the finals.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Ricochet &amp; Tessa Vs.
