As such, we\u2019d like to welcome you to a new wrap-up column which will have results from all of the smaller promotions all compiled together in one easy to access space.<\/p>\n<p>The main idea behind this column is to shine a light on the lesser-known talents as they develop their skills before exploding onto the major shows such as\u00a0<strong>Melbourne City Wrestling (MCW), Pro Wrestling Australia (PWA), Wrestle Rampage<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Explosive Pro Wrestling (EPW).<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1>Australian Wrestling: The #NowWeConquer Battle Briefing (February 1-3)<\/h1>\n<p>The first weekend in February was an incredibly stacked weekend of shows in Australia, particular in Adelaide South Australia where both <b>Riot City Wrestling (RCW)<\/b> and <b>Wrestle Rampage<\/b> both held their first shows of the year.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Riot City Wrestling &#8211; Reanimated 14<\/b><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_37360\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-37360\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-37360\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/02\/48365805_10156803076229557_5471265074943361024_o-e1549241684571.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-37360\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: RCW<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><b>Tony Toro<\/b> def. <b>Kit Condor<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Kurt Baron<\/b> def.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><b>Cadie Tr\u00e9, Dean Brady<\/b> &amp; <b>Steve Miller <\/b>&#8211; during this match <b>James Kray <\/b>attacked Brady\u2019s arm with a steel chair<\/p>\n<p><b>Savannah Summers<\/b> def. <b>Blair Alexis<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Riot City Wrestling Championship: <b>Zack Sabbath<\/b> (c) with <b>Selina<\/b> def. <b>Chris Basso<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Matt Hayter <\/b>made his RCW debut by interrupting Zack Sabbath and super kicking Selina<\/p>\n<p><b>Gods &amp; Monsters<\/b> (<b>GRIMM <\/b>&amp;<b> Big Brodie Marshall<\/b>) with <b>Mickie Fortune<\/b> def. <b>The Rude Ones <\/b>(<b>Marvel<\/b> &amp; <b>Bulldog<\/b>) with <b>Venus<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Rocky Menaro<\/b> def. <b>Adam Brooks<\/b> to win the Key To The City<\/p>\n<p><b>The Parea <\/b>(<b>Eli Theseus<\/b> &amp; <b>Gabriel Aeros<\/b>) def. <b>The Armstrong Boys <\/b>(<b>Jett Armstrong<\/b> &amp; <b>Nick Armstrong<\/b>)<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Wrestle Rampage &#8211; Never Surrender<\/b><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_37361\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-37361\" style=\"width: 360px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-37361\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/02\/50041715_3050815141597108_1252074093105119232_n-e1549241728661.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"500\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-37361\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Wrestle Rampage<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Five Pack Challenge:<b> Einar Ironside<\/b> def. <b>Corey Adams, Dean Valente, Link Barnett<\/b> and <b>Nick Golfis<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Corndog<\/b> def. <b>Robby Heart<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Wrestle Rampage Australian National Championship: <b>AJ Istria<\/b> (c) def. <b>Robbie Eagles <\/b>&#8211; this was an incredible match, which on any other night would have been the highlight but on this occasion was overshadowed by the emotional farewell for Jonah Rock later in the evening.<\/p>\n<p><b>The Covenant <\/b>(<b>Brother Bellows<\/b> &amp; <b>Havok<\/b>) def. <b>Big And Gorgeous<\/b> (<b>Greg Graham<\/b> &amp; <b>Willy Gibson<\/b>) &#8211; prematch Havok turned on his Big And Gorgeous brethren to instead join The Covenant and thus create this match.<\/p>\n<p>Wrestle Rampage Cruiserweight Cup: <b>Rat Daddy<\/b> def. <b>Mike Boomer<\/b> to become the new Cruiserweight Cup champion.<\/p>\n<p><b>Tommy Knight<\/b> def. <b>Jonah Rock <\/b>&#8211; a hard-hitting battle between to super-heavyweight competitors, reminiscent of old school <b>All Japan Pro Wrestling<\/b>.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Following the match, Rock was farewelled by AJ Istria, who would then confirm that his next title defence would be against Knight. Rock then gave an emotional farewell speech, giving thanks to his trainer <strong>Hartley Jackson<\/strong>, mentor <strong>Col Devarney<\/strong>, the Wrestle Rampage roster\/staff and finally his wife Paige, who was welcomed into the ring for a standing ovation before leaving with Rock for the final time in Australia.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Explosive Pro Wrestling (EPW) &#8211; Hot Summers Night<\/b><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_37363\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-37363\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-37363\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/02\/51564389_10157090528469809_2601867501172162560_n-e1549241710252.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-37363\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: EPW<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><b>Kiel Steria <\/b>with <b>David Nero <\/b>def. <b>Logan Grey<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Dan Moore <\/b>&amp; <b>Johnny Wimbledon <\/b>def. <b>The Headhunters <\/b>(<b>Dan Steele <\/b>&amp; <b>Twitch<\/b>)<\/p>\n<p><b>\u2018The Light Chaser\u2019 Tyler Jacobs <\/b>def. <b>\u2018The Australian Sensation\u2019 Craven<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Claremont Street Fight: <b>\u2018The Don\u2019 Michael Morleone<\/b> def. <b>\u2018Free Spirit\u2019 Zenith<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>The Untouchables <\/b>(<b>Damian Slater <\/b>&amp;<b> Marcus Pitt<\/b>)<b> with Amber <\/b>def. <b>\u2018The Big Rig\u2019 Scotty Ryan <\/b>&amp;<b> Julian Ward <\/b>&#8211; following the match a brawl ensued between Ryan and Ward, likely leading to a match between the two next show.<\/p>\n<p>EPW Invitational Tournament Final: <b>\u2018Gorgeous\u2019 Garry Schmidt <\/b>def. <b>\u2019The Child Star\u2019 Taylor King <\/b>with <b>Jack Edwards<\/b><\/p>\n<p>EPW Championship: <b>\u2018The Real Wrestler\u2019 Gavin McGavin <\/b>(c) def.<b> \u2018Rapscallion\u2019 Mick Moretti <\/b>&#8211; with his seventh successive championship defence McGavin has now broken the record for most successful championship defences in a single reign. Following the match, \u2018The Don\u2019 Michael Morleone came out to challenge McGavin, this time with the stipulation being that Morleone cannot challenge McGavin again if he is unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Melbourne City Wrestling (MCW) &#8211; Uprising<\/b><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_37362\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-37362\" style=\"width: 340px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-37362\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/02\/50780474_2254842694555539_9053122209005961216_n-e1549241764729.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"340\" height=\"500\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-37362\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: MCW<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Part way through this show the power to the entire street went out which meant that the air-conditioning wasn\u2019t working, ultimately making this an unpleasantly hot evening for everyone.<\/p>\n<p><b>Lochy Hendricks <\/b>with <b>Miami <\/b>def. <b>Jake Lindo <\/b>&#8211; following the match Hendricks beat down <b>Hawko <\/b>before <b>Funtime Phil <\/b>and Aria<b> <\/b>arrive to make the save. Next month at <b>Clash of Titans <\/b>it will be Hendricks vs. Phil with Aria\u2019s job on the line.<\/p>\n<p><b>DCT<\/b> makes his MCW debut as the\u00a0guest commentator for the next match<\/p>\n<p><b>Ritchie Taylor <\/b>def. <b>Mike Burr <\/b>&#8211; following this match both men show each other respect with a fist bump, only to be interrupted by DCT who says both men and Melbourne, in general, are \u201csoft\u201d <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Champion vs. Champion Contract Signing (featuring <b>Seb Costello<\/b>) was up next. <b>Slex <\/b>arrives wearing a full suit before MCW World Heavyweight Champion <b>Gino Gambino <\/b>appears in tracksuit and gold chain.<\/p>\n<p>It is announced that at Clash of Titans Gambino and Slex will battle in a No DQ and No Count Out match. Both men then erupt into an all-out brawl leading to Gambino driving Slex through the table before posing with both championships.<\/p>\n<p>MCW Tag Team Championship: <b>The Law <\/b>(<b>Dowie James <\/b>&amp;<b> Adam Brooks<\/b>) (c) def. <b>Jett <\/b>&amp; <b>Tyson <\/b>&#8211; this was a fast paced match with lots of high-flying earning a standing ovation from the crowd.<\/p>\n<p>Following the match, <b>The Brat Back <\/b>(<b>Nick Bury<\/b> &amp; <b>Mitch Waterman<\/b>) call out the champions from the balcony and challenge The Law to a TLC championship rematch at Clash of the Titans.<\/p>\n<p><b>Mikey Nicholls <\/b>def. <b>JK Moody <\/b>&#8211; the returning Nicholls appeared to be much more sadistic than he had in previous appearances.<\/p>\n<p><b>Avary<\/b> vs. <b>Indi Hartwell<\/b> ended in a no contest after the shock return of <b>Kellyanne<\/b>, who has a bone to pick with both ladies and took out both women before MCW Management is forced to break up the brawl between all three ladies.<\/p>\n<p><b>Stevie Filip <\/b>def. <b>Tome Filip <\/b>&#8211; following the match the brothers shake hands and announce that they will be leaving MCW for short time, but they will conquer wherever they end up.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Future Wrestling Australia (FWA) &#8211; The Rise Of The Future<\/b><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_37359\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-37359\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-37359\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/02\/48064128_2267824076834584_4853466061279854592_n-e1549241786682.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-37359\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: FWA<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>FWA Tag Team Championship: <b>Big Fudge <\/b>&amp; <b>Jude London <\/b>(c) def. <b>Donnie Mako <\/b>&amp; <b>Jax Jordan<\/b><\/p>\n<p>FWA Mercury Title Tournament: <b>Cesar <\/b>def. <b>Parker Tomas<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Jasmin Vittoria <\/b>def. <b>Bel Pierce<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Unsanctioned Match: <b>Keegan Brettle <\/b>def. <b>Five Star Flash<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>JXT<\/b> def. <b>Silvio Milano<\/b><\/p>\n<p>FWA Heavyweight Championship: <b>Matty Wahlberg <\/b>(c) vs. <b>Sam Osborne <\/b>ended in a double count-out<\/p>\n<p>FWA Women\u2019s Championship Fatal Four Way: <b>Xena <\/b>def. <b>Savannah Summers<\/b>, <b>Kingsley <\/b>and <b>Tarlee <\/b>&#8211; tag-team partners Xena and Kingsley (known collectively as <b>LUX<\/b>) worked together in this match using their double team maneuvers to dethrone the inaugural FWA Women\u2019s Champion Summers<\/p>\n<p><b>Ricky South <\/b>def. <b>Eli Drake<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><i>Results provided by Jason Hauth (@shijika), Lachie Watts, various company social media channels or live streams.<\/i><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As the Australian wrestling scene enters into the early stages of a boom period, there are more and more shows happening around the country every weekend.
