New NXT Tag-Team champions and a new North American champion were crowned while <strong>Shayna Baszler<\/strong> and <strong>Tommaso Ciampa<\/strong> continued their tyranny in Phoenix.<\/p>\n<p>A flashback to all things good (pretty much everything) that happened at TakeOver were shown before the beginning of the show.\u00a0The week\u2019s tapings were done in Phoenix, right before TakeOver.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Women\u2019s Division<\/strong><\/h4>\n<figure id=\"attachment_37205\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-37205\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-37205\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/01\/009_NXT_01262019ej_0156-b9b625bddf25b33fe3c03c86044373d7-e1548959278308.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-37205\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WWE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>NXT kicked off this week with tag-team action in the women\u2019s division. <strong>Kairi Sane<\/strong> and <strong>Io Shirai<\/strong> looked to exact some degree of revenge on <strong>Jessamyn Duke<\/strong> and <strong>Marina Shafir<\/strong> after weeks of meddling in Kairi\u2019s affairs.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Kairi Sane &amp; Io Shirai vs. Jessamyn Duke &amp; Marina Shafir: WWE NXT, Jan. 30, 2019\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ezyy1Yi52Ik?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The Japanese duo\u2019s chemistry was there to see for all as they absolutely dominated the newcomers early on. Marina Shafir, who was sporting a face mask, still appears to need some improvements in her character and body language though her in-ring work looked smoother than Duke\u2019s. While Shafir and Duke showed some good tandem offence together and sold well for their veteran opponents, their inexperience was conspicuous on occasions.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_37206\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-37206\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-37206\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/01\/015_NXT_01262019hm_0290-70044f735e9267db745df7ee03cc6396-e1548959304742.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-37206\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WWE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Kairi Sane eventually put Marina Shafir away after a string of fantastic aerial maneuvers by her and Io Shirai, taking out Jessamyn Duke before Sane hit her flying elbow for the win.<\/p>\n<p>Surely, surely, Kairi and Io have to be in contention for the new Women\u2019s Tag-Team Championships on the main roster sooner rather than later.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Tag-Team Division<\/strong><\/h4>\n<figure id=\"attachment_37209\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-37209\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-37209\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/01\/027_NXT_01262019cm_0123-68bdc914401e65895e8407d807d581ae-e1548959380193.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-37209\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WWE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The charismatic and flamboyant pairing of <strong>Montez Ford<\/strong> and <strong>Angelo Dawkins<\/strong>, the <strong>Street Profits<\/strong>, took on the team of <strong>Wesley Blake<\/strong> and <strong>Steve Cutler<\/strong>, flanked by <strong>Jaxson Ryker<\/strong>, the trio known as the <strong>Forgotten Sons<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Things started fast and furiously as Dawkins speared Cutler before things broke down. The heels eventually took control, often shouting \u201cyou want to forget us?\u201d at their opponents\u2019 faces, reminding everyone about why they joined together in the first place.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Street Profits vs. The Forgotten Sons: WWE NXT, Jan. 30, 2019\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mkvoQjKVvhE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The match included one of the most impressive feats of athleticism you will see anywhere. Montez Ford produced a vertical leap from the inside to the outside of the ring that would\u2019ve made Ricochet proud. In fact, it did!<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/twitter.com\/KingRicochet\/status\/1090805220639162369<\/p>\n<p>Ryker came into play deep into proceedings, as he wiped out Ford at ringside. The two big men Ryker and Dawkins locked eyes from across the ring and but Dawkins was intercepted by Blake before he could get to Ryker.
