Slim J debuted in 2001 in the highly influential <strong>NWA Wildside<\/strong> promotion in Georgia (where WWE Superstar AJ Styles hails from), and it wasn&#8217;t soon before he was appearing in <strong>Ring of Honor<\/strong> in its earliest days, as part of the stable <strong>Special K<\/strong> alongside <strong>Angel Dust<\/strong> (aka Azrieal), <strong>Deranged<\/strong> (Illndigochild), <strong>Joey Matthews<\/strong> (former WWE Superstar Joey Mercury) and <strong>Izzy<\/strong> (Insane Dragon). While his peers would go on to careers with WWE, Ring of Honor, <strong>Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG)<\/strong>, IMPACT and many others, Slim J remained in the smaller indies, spending the bulk of his 17 years with <strong>NWA Anarchy<\/strong> (since switched to <strong>Anarchy Wrestling<\/strong>), also in Georgia.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Slim J vs Azrael with Rev Dan Wilson, Young Lions Title NWA Anarchy Season&#039;s Beatings 12-20-08\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/pTYeGjfcmRY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>He continues to work the Southern indie circuit, such as <strong>ACTION Wrestling, Southern Fried Championship Wrestling (SFCW)<\/strong>, and <strong>Pro Wrestling Freedom (PWF)<\/strong>, and since 2015 has appeared in several dark matches for ROH again, competing as <strong>Gladiator Jeremiah<\/strong>. On Monday night, Janela announced Slim J as the next competitor to appear at <em><strong>Joey Janela&#8217;s Spring Break 3<\/strong><\/em>, presented by <strong>Game Changer Wrestling (GCW)<\/strong>, where he&#8217;ll fight on night one on Friday, April 5 over WrestleMania weekend.
