A rising talent in the Florida indie circuit, on Thursday Chris Sims – professionally known as Dr. Rex Bacchus<\/strong> – succumbed to cancer at the age of 35. The news was broken by several places, including Major League Wrestling (MLW)<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Rex Bacchus was a late bloomer in the business, only starting as a 31-year old in 2015. He trained out of the Team Vision Dojo<\/strong> in Florida and has been a regular for I BELIEVE Wrestling<\/strong> ever since. He also competed for other Florida promotions, such as American Combat Wrestling (ACW), EVOLVE, IGNITE, Full Impact Pro<\/strong> and recently on the November event, Fightland<\/strong> <\/em>for MLW. He was a multi-time tag team champion on the Florida indies, capturing the RIOT Pro<\/strong> Tag Team and Full Throttle Pro<\/strong> Tag Team Championships alongside Chico Adams<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
