The newcomers looked a lot like <strong>Deuce \u2018N Domino<\/strong> from <em><strong>Smackdown<\/strong> <\/em>circa 2006 2.0, wearing white vests with black pants. The Street Profits made quick work of the enhancement talents for the night, Montez picking up the pin after a thunderous frog splash from the top rope.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Forgotten Sons ambush The Street Profits: WWE NXT, Jan. 16, 2019\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8dbTCf8vWdI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>However, things weren\u2019t done here. As the Street Profits celebrated, the <strong>Forgotten Sons<\/strong> ran out and attacked them from behind. Outnumbered, Ford and Dawkins would be quickly overwhelmed as <strong>Cutler, Blake<\/strong>, and <strong>Ryker &#8211;<\/strong>\u00a0especially Ryker, laid them out with a number of high-impact moves. Management seems to be the highest on Ryker as he always looks like a million bucks in the Forgotten Sons segments.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_35761\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-35761\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-35761\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/01\/014_NXT_01032019sm_2781-56181435639b8f9e152ab744dec90ca0-e1547793856980.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-35761\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WWE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h4><strong>Women\u2019s Division<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The NXT Women\u2019s championship will be on the line a week from Saturday in Phoenix as <strong>Shayna Baszler<\/strong> defends against <strong>Bianca BelAir<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_35763\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-35763\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-35763\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/01\/019_NXT_01032019ej2373-7b9cc2d494186793337e37c0572cc184-e1547793873122.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-35763\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WWE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>This week, BelAir came out to the ring for a rare in-ring promo and got a warm, babyface reception from the Full Sail crowd. \u201cUndefeated\u201d chants would ring around the arena as she took the mic. The no.1 contender called out Baszler and her horsewomen and claimed that she was walking out of <em><strong>TakeOver: Phoenix<\/strong><\/em> the new NXT Women\u2019s champion.<\/p>\n<p>BelAir would soon be interrupted by the champ but Baszler didn\u2019t appear alone as she was flanked by her Four Horsewomen of MMA cohorts, <strong>Marina Shafir<\/strong> and <strong>Jessamyn Duke<\/strong>. Shayna would give her credit for her accomplishments in the Performance Centre before telling BelAir that she obviously wasn\u2019t the smartest if she thinks she can beat her.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_35762\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-35762\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-35762\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/01\/018_NXT_01032019sm_2971-54e2afe96a89499399aae7080f371081-e1547793889812.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-35762\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: NXT<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Bianca\u2019s exchange with Shayna and her entire promo was absolutely top notch. She held her own throughout the segment and came off as a real megastar on the mic. The crowd was lapping up every word.<\/p>\n<p>Shayna would get the last word in though, stating that she would make Bianca\u2019s vocabulary go from \u201cundefeated\u201d to \u201coverrated\u201d. This would bring about dueling undefeated-overrated chants from the NXT audience.<\/p>\n<p>This was a terrific segment when both women were trading words and it got even better when Bianca slapped the taste out of Baszler\u2019s mouth just as she took her eyes off of the challenger for one second before evading Duke and Shafir and escaping out of the ring. As Mauro Ranallo said on commentary, Bianca just poured kerosene on the fire.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Next Week<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The <strong>Velveteen Dream<\/strong> was penciled in to be in action next week on NXT, after a video package showing some of the greats of the industry like <strong>John\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Cena, Triple H<\/strong>, and <strong>Shawn Michaels<\/strong> talking up the 23-year old.<\/p>\n<p>A face-to-face confrontation between the NXT North American champion, <strong>Ricochet<\/strong>, and challenger <strong>Johnny Gargano<\/strong> was also advertised for next week.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Promos<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Aleister Black<\/strong> was in a backstage promo segment where he talked about absolving <strong>Tommaso Ciampa<\/strong> of his sins and take back the NXT championship. Black also said that he was looking forward to starting their fight a little early.<\/p>\n<p>The NXT champion, Tommaso Ciampa, replied later in the show to the challenger\u2019s words, giving a stern warning to Black, telling him to be careful what he wished for.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Dijakovic<\/strong><\/h4>\n<figure id=\"attachment_35765\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-35765\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-35765\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/01\/029_NXT_01032019ej2634-8375e1d45566089ad3ee13abf33ba0f3-e1547793907342.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-35765\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WWE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>NXT newcomer <strong>Dominik Dijakovic<\/strong> faced Brazilian martial artist <strong>Adrian Jauode<\/strong> this week on NXT. Jauode did get some minor offense in by Dijakovic finished him off with a stiff-looking modified version of a GTS for the pin.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Johnny Gargano<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Johnny Wrestling was in action against the newest member of the <em><strong>205 Live<\/strong><\/em> roster, <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2018\/09\/09\/ultimo-ninja-meet-nxts-humberto-carrillo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mexican luchador Humberto Carrillo<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Humberto Carrillo vs. Johnny Gargano: WWE NXT, Jan. 16, 2019\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/VR1FZsDYlb8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This would be an entertaining, back-and-forth bout with lots of high-flying lucha spots from Carrillo but Gargano would gain the upper hand with a long dart into the middle turnbuckle before following it up with a slingshot DDT for the win.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_35768\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-35768\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-35768\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/01\/042_NXT_01032019ej2853-2502aee6ce43cbe35d4fdc7ca0c10bb6-e1547793925195.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-35768\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WWE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h4><strong>Main Event<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Two of the biggest behemoths in NXT, Kassius Ohno and Keith Lee, collided in this week\u2019s main event.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_35771\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-35771\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-35771\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/01\/NXT_01032019sm_4331-79d5fa6944b208d279eedc9868966187-e1547793958933.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-35771\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WWE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Matt Riddle had been shown earlier in the show in a backstage segment with Lee and asked about his thoughts on his friend\u2019s match with his rival, Ohno. Riddle said that he couldn\u2019t be out in the Limitless One\u2019s corner because he hadn\u2019t yet been medically cleared but he was just hoping Keith Lee leaves a little of Kassius Ohno for him to beat up once he\u2019s done with Kassius tonight.<\/p>\n<p>This match wouldn\u2019t be amiss on an episode of 205 Live, except that both competitors easily exceed the weight restrictions. Some unreal show of athleticism and agility was on show in this fantastic match combined with an intense ground battle.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Keith Lee vs. Kassius Ohno: WWE NXT, Jan. 16, 2019\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/NQEczBd19Lw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The match would near its culmination when Lee had Ohno cornered near the ropes but the experienced Kassius Ohno pushed Lee onto the referee who got laid out. Ohno bailed on the ring and the show ended with a face-off between the King of Bros and the wily-old veteran, Kassius Ohno.
