Like many promotions, Smash Wrestling got hit by an injury bug (they had <strong>Marko Stunt<\/strong> booked prior to his broken leg) and had to remove <strong>PCO<\/strong> from the event due to his <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2018\/12\/01\/pco-heading-to-roh-as-his-comeback-year-continues\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">new Ring of Honor<\/a> contract (he was originally slated to face <strong>Jimmy Havoc<\/strong>). But the show must go on, and for Smash fans, this card still brings a lot of storytelling to the table with some great action.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Fatal Four Way: Puf vs. Muscle vs. Jim Stryder vs. John Greed<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_32313\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-32313\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-32313\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/12\/Dt6keAHUcAA1S_8-e1544486445345.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-32313\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Smash<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Smash veteran <strong>John Greed<\/strong> remains one of the Canadian indie\u00a0circuit&#8217;s most unheralded big men, combining brute force with surprising athleticism. He&#8217;s still freshly returned from a family hiatus, but he&#8217;s sure to be turning his eyes on the Smash Championship sooner than later. He&#8217;s in a four way against some emerging talents on the Smash roster, including Buffalo, New York&#8217;s <strong>Puf<\/strong>, who has been on a popular run of late with Buffalo&#8217;s <strong>Empire State Wrestling (ESW)<\/strong>, Smash, <strong>Limitless<\/strong> and more. <strong>The Muscle<\/strong> is flying solo since being fired by <strong>Kevin Bennett<\/strong>, but he&#8217;s hoping to make a name for himself outside the group. The last member of the four is an emerging talent from London, Ontario in <strong>Jim Stryder<\/strong>, and a student of former Smash Champion <strong>Tyson Dux<\/strong>, who will be looking to break out with a huge victory.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Sebastian Suave vs. Daniel Garcia<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_32310\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-32310\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-32310\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/12\/DqJtUWvU8AAxhK5-e1544486466401.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-32310\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Smash<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Sebastian Suave<\/strong> and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2018\/12\/11\/indie-watch-red-death-daniel-garcia-videos\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\"><strong>Daniel Garcia<\/strong><\/a> continue their Best of 5 series, with the third match on Sunday. The had their first encounter in Quebec with <strong>Federation de Lutte Quebecoise<\/strong> at <em><strong>Challenge Accepted<\/strong><\/em>, where Suave came up with the first win. Just last week they held the second contest at <em><strong>CTL ALT DEL<\/strong><\/em> in London, Ontario, with Suave once again picking up the victory with a sharpshooter, injuring Garcia&#8217;s ankle. Suave is the wily\u00a0veteran, but Daniel Garcia is one of the fastest rising stars from upstate New York, having already appeared on WWE&#8217;s <em><strong>205 Live<\/strong><\/em>. Garcia will have to dig down deep to come back from a 2-0 deficit and keep the contest going.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Jody Threat vs. KC Spinelli<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_32309\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-32309\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-32309\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/12\/Dq4PHFHUwAAsUqa-e1544486488716.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-32309\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Smash<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Two of Smash&#8217;s women&#8217;s division come head to head after both came off with solid showings at this year&#8217;s <strong>CANUSA Classic<\/strong>. <strong>Jody Threat<\/strong> pulled the upset over indie veteran <strong>Neveah<\/strong>, while <strong>KC Spinelli<\/strong> shocked the audience with a big win over IMPACT Knockouts Champion <strong>Tessa Blanchard<\/strong>. The two will go head to head to determine who the top women&#8217;s competitor in Smash Wrestling truly is.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Jason Kincaid vs. Carter Mason<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_32315\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-32315\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-32315\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/12\/DtSQMyoWoAERTGt-e1544486505556.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-32315\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Smash<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Oakville, Ontario&#8217;s <strong>Carter Mason<\/strong>, a student of former IMPACT X-Division Champion <strong>Johnny Devine<\/strong>, has been wrestling since the mid-2000s and is a staple of the Canadian indie circuit. Mason was scheduled to face Marko Stunt on Sunday, but sadly, &#8220;Mr. Fun Size&#8221; broke his leg at <strong>GCW<\/strong>&#8216;s <em><strong>Joey Janela&#8217;s LA Confidential<\/strong><\/em> and is out until 2019. His replacement is someone Mason has faced before, in US indie star <strong>Jason Kincaid<\/strong>. Kincaid has been a regular with <strong>EVOLVE<\/strong> for the past few years but has spent a good deal of 2018 in Japan with <strong>DDT Pro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Two Butchers &amp; A Blade (Pepper Parks, Andy Williams &amp; Tyler Bateman) vs. Kill\/Screen (Scotty &#8220;Hacker&#8221; O&#8217;Shea, Mark Wheeler &amp; Shane Sabre)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_32311\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-32311\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-32311\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/12\/DrG9sxIU8AEdZgY-e1544486521354.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-32311\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Smash<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Pepper Parks<\/strong> (formerly IMPACT star Braxton Sutter) is recently removed from being Smash Tag Team Champion alongside <strong>&#8220;Psycho Mike&#8221; Rollins<\/strong> in <strong>The Well Oiled Machines<\/strong>, but for this fight, he&#8217;s turning to his darker side. He&#8217;s teaming up with longtime friend <strong>Andy Williams<\/strong> (who also plays the guitar for <strong>Every Time I Die<\/strong>), who he tags with on the indies with <strong>Butcher &amp; The Blade<\/strong>, as well as West Coast star <strong>Tyle Bateman<\/strong>. Bateman is the current AWS Champion and has been terrorizing the West Coast in <strong>Violence Unlimited<\/strong> with <strong>Brody King.<\/strong> They face <strong>&#8220;Hacker&#8221; Scotty O&#8217;Shea<\/strong>&#8216;s revamped <strong>Kill\/Screen<\/strong> squad that features two of the Canadian indie scene&#8217;s bright young stars in former <strong>Superkick&#8217;D<\/strong> Champions <strong>Mark Wheeler<\/strong> and <strong>Shane Sabre<\/strong>. This will be more of a brawl than a wrestling match.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Jimmy Havoc vs. Holden Albright<\/strong><\/h3>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Please read. Originally scheduled to be a bloody war between PCO and Jimmy Havoc, PCO was forced to pull out late last week due to his new exclusive ROH contract. Jimmy Havoc has become a regular with Smash Wrestling when he&#8217;s in Canada and his brand of violence has incited many an audience. His opponent will be a young star from the Southwest indies looking to make a statement, in 3-year pro <strong>Holden Albright<\/strong>. Albright has worked for Smash, <strong>Alpha-1, Barrie Wrestling<\/strong>, and many regional indies, but on Sunday he gets to put his body on the line against one of the fiercest men in the game today.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>&#8220;Psycho&#8221; Mike Rollins vs. Kikutaro<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_32312\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-32312\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-32312\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/12\/Dt2gce4W0AAirZc-e1544486560588.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-32312\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Smash<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&#8220;Psycho Mike&#8221; hasn&#8217;t fully recovered from losing the tag titles and is acting stranger than usual. Luckily, his opponent on Sunday is just as bizarre. He faces a Japanese legend in <strong>Kikutaro<\/strong>, whose comedic style has enamored crowds around the world, from <strong>All Japan<\/strong> to DDT Pro, <strong>CHIKARA<\/strong> to <strong>Bar Wrestling<\/strong>, <strong>IMPACT Wrestling<\/strong> to Ring of Honor. This may not be the most technical match on the card, but it has all the ingredients of being the most memorable.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>The Pillars (Tarik, Tyson Dux &amp; Brent Banks) vs. The Kevin Bennett Experience (Kevin Bennett, Idris Abraham &amp; Joe Coleman)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_32314\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-32314\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-32314\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/12\/DtmV39sVsAAtjvp-e1544486575165.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-32314\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Smash<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Pillars have taken the reigns of Smash Wrestling, as well as all the gold. Smash Champion <strong>Tarik<\/strong>, alongside Smash Tag Team Champions Brent Banks &amp; Tyson Dux, are Smash originals who have become synonymous with Smash Wrestling as a brand. The trio of champions will be uniting on Sunday night to face <strong>Kevin Bennett<\/strong> and his new &#8220;Experience&#8221;, featuring longtime Smash tag team <strong>Halal Beefcake<\/strong>, featuring <strong>Joe Coleman<\/strong> and <strong>Idris Abraham<\/strong> (who was part of the X-Division in IMPACT in 2017).
