With the expected departure of <b>The Elite<\/b> (Cody Rhodes, Young Bucks, and Hangman Page) come the new year, and the loss of ROH stars like <b>Punishment Martinez<\/b> and <b>War Machine<\/b> this year, Ring of Honor is looking to revamp their lineup going into the new year. They recently signed one of the hottest indie stars of the year, <b>Jeff Cobb<\/b>, to a deal &#8211; winning the ROH Television Championship early on &#8211; and recently re-signed ROH World Champion <b>Jay Lethal<\/b> to a new deal. &#8220;The Villain&#8221; <b>Marty Scurll<\/b> is the only member of The Elite to re-sign with ROH, although it&#8217;s believed to be a short extension through April 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-31725\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/12\/6d1c8a8c25ca2a3c-600x338.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/12\/6d1c8a8c25ca2a3c-600x338.jpg 600w, https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/12\/6d1c8a8c25ca2a3c-600x338-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">PWInsider has reported that one of the indies biggest monsters, <b>Brody King<\/b>, has signed with Ring of Honor and will be finishing up his indie commitments before heading exclusively to ROH for January. He&#8217;s already finished up with <b>Major League Wrestling<\/b>, much like PCO and much like PCO, could make his debut as early as the December TV tapings for <b>Final Battle Fallout<\/b>. King&#8217;s signing with ROH has been rumored for a short while, and <a href=\"http:\/\/villain enterprises\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">his recent pairing with Marty Scurll in a new faction called <strong>Villain Enterprises<\/strong><\/a> would be a smooth transition into ROH for King, who only debuted on the indie scene in 2015. The <a href=\"https:\/\/godshate.bandcamp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">lead vocalist in metal band <strong>God&#8217;s Hate<\/strong><\/a> entered the world of pro wrestling through the West Coast scene three years ago, and has emerged as one of the scene&#8217;s best big men, with a style reminiscent of <strong>Bruiser Brody<\/strong>, with such promotions as <strong>Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), Bar Wrestling<\/strong>, MLW,<strong> EVOLVE<\/strong>, and many more.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_31726\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-31726\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-31726\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/12\/silasyoung1-e1543709814904.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"320\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-31726\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: ROH<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Silas Young<\/strong>, who had been rumored to start with NXT in January, closed down those reports this week, saying instead he had chosen to re-sign with Ring of Honor, the company he&#8217;s been with the past five years. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pwinsider.com\/ViewArticle.php?id=122164\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">In an interview with PWInsider<\/a>, Young told them &#8220;(t)here\u2019s been a lot of news going around. A lot of rumors and whatnot about my future here in wrestling.\u00a0 My contract here with Ring of Honor expires at the end of this year, 2018.\u00a0 Like I said, there\u2019s a lot of rumors about WWE.\u00a0 I\u2019ve even had people coming up to me months ago saying, \u2018Hey I hear you are leaving to WWE.\u00a0 I hear you are leaving.\u2019\u00a0 It\u2019s always great from my perspective or any of the wrestling talents\u2019 perspective to have there be interest in you, you know? In saying that,&#8221; he continued, &#8220;it\u2019s good to have people talking about you when it comes to contract time.\u00a0 I think anyone can figure out why.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 With all that being said, I have decided that after five years with Ring of Honor, five years of them investing in me, I have decided I\u2019m going to sign a three-year contract with them.\u201d Silas also stated that a big part of his decision not to sign with the WWE was the relocation to Orlando, as he owns a ranch in Wyoming and has a 10-year old son.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The recent signings of Brody King and PCO, as well as Jeff Cobb earlier, adds to a busy free agent signing frenzy with major indies in the past month or so, that has seen IMPACT Wrestling add <b>Jordynne Grace<\/b> and <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2018\/11\/24\/the-rascalz-are-coming-a-look-at-impact-wrestlings-newest-stable\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>Dezmond Xavier<\/b>\u2019s <b>Rascalz<\/b> teammates <b>Zachary Wentz <\/b>and <b>Trey Miguel<\/b><\/a>, as well as MLW <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2018\/11\/29\/three-to-make-debut-with-mlw-in-miami\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">recently announcing the signing of <b>Dragon Lee<\/b> and <b>DJ Z<\/b><\/a>.
