2018 has been a big year for the Contenders sub-brand, some of it’s biggest names like\u00a0LJ Cleary, Scotty Davis<\/strong>, and\u00a0Raven Creed\u00a0<\/strong>have had breakout years with two capturing championship gold and one making waves in the UK with\u00a0Fight Club: Pro<\/strong>.\u00a0 Contenders 12 sees the debut of\u00a0Masato Tanaka\u00a0<\/strong>and the return of\u00a0Jordynne Grace<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Match 1: Amy Allonsy & Debbie Keitel vs Valkyrie & Katey Harvey<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Student and teacher team together as Harvey joins forces with Valkyrie, the relationship between the two has been a bit rocky since\u00a0WrestleRama 2\u00a0<\/strong>when a triple threat match involving\u00a0Sammii Jayne\u00a0<\/strong>saw neither walk away with the women’s\u00a0championship.\u00a0 Their opponents are a new team, Allonsy and Keitel teamed together at\u00a0Defiant 2\u00a0<\/strong>in a losing effort to\u00a0Lana Austin\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Kasey Owens<\/strong>.\u00a0 These four women are no strangers to each other but this tag team match presents a new dynamic.<\/p>\n

Match 2: NLW Championship: Curtis Murray (c) vs Paddy M<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Murray makes his first defence of the title in Ireland, against one of the previous generation’s best Paddy Morrow.\u00a0 The Lad from the Flats is known in OTT for this tag team work with Workie,<\/strong>\u00a0but Paddy is a former NLW and\u00a0NWA Ireland\u00a0<\/strong>champion.\u00a0 Morrow has long been considered one of the best talents on the island with his high flying abilities\u00a0being second to none.\u00a0 The same can’t be said of Murray who has abandoned his high flying ways in recent months to become the Avihater and a cheater.\u00a0 Murray will have some tricks up his sleeve but Paddy might have the experience to outthink his younger opponent.<\/p>\n

Match 3: Jordan Devlin vs Terry Thatcher<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Ace of OTT faces the Ace of Contenders.\u00a0 2018 has been a standout year for both men on different levels.\u00a0 Terry Thatcher finally got the moment he deserved when he won the NLW championship earlier this year.\u00a0 After 13 years he had won the respect and love of the Contenders crowd who willed him to victory against Scotty Davis.\u00a0 For Devlin he has emerged as one of Europe’s best wrestlers, his run as OTT Champion saw the company steal the attention of the wrestling world thanks to classic matches with\u00a0WALTER\u00a0<\/strong>and a forgotten classic with\u00a0Zack Sabre Junior<\/strong>.\u00a0 When Thatcher lost his title fans questioned where it would leave him.\u00a0 The Temple Bar bad boy took the bull by the horns and laid out the challenge to the biggest name in Irish Wrestling Jordan Devlin.\u00a0 Will the fairytale year have a fairytail ending or will the Import Killer become the Irish killer?<\/p>\n
