On December 13, 2018, Major League Wrestling<\/a> (MLW)<\/strong> will record its next special event, MLW Never Say Never<\/strong><\/em>, in Miami, Florida, and it features a huge tag team title match main event as The Lucha Brothers<\/strong> (Pentagon Jr. & Fenix) defend their MLW Tag Team Championships against the new Hart Foundation<\/strong> (Teddy Hart & Davey Boy Smith Jr.) with Brian Pillman Jr.<\/strong> in their corner.<\/p>\n

On one hand, the match is your typical indie dream match – The Lucha Brothers are one of the most exciting tag teams on the planet, and Teddy Hart and Davey Boy Smith Jr. are an explosive combination of athleticism and power. But beyond the cosmetic, it also features a battle between second and third generation wrestlers fighting for family pride.<\/p>\n

Pentagon Jr. and Fenix are the sons of former Mexican luchador Fuego<\/strong> (not to be confused with the current star using Fuego in CMLL, who used to perform as Flas<\/strong>h). They also have a third brother, formerly known as\u00a0Ni\u00f1o de Fuego<\/strong>, who now competes in Mexico as\u00a0\u00cdkaro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, The Hart Foundation are both third generation grapplers<\/a> and grandsons of Canadian wrestling patriarch Stu Hart<\/strong><\/a>. Davey Boy Smith Jr. (aka Harry Smith and former WWE Superstar DH Smith<\/strong>) is the son of WWE Legend “British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith<\/strong> and Hart daughter Diana Hart<\/strong>, while Teddy Hart is the son of former Stampede wrestler BJ Annis<\/strong> and another Hart daughter, Georgia. They are cousins of WWE Superstar Natalya and nephews of Bret “Hitman” Hart<\/strong> and Owen Hart.<\/strong> While Teddy has been on a redemption tour the past few years reclaiming his spot in the family legacy, Smith has been capturing gold all over Japan as part of Suzuki-gun<\/strong>‘s Killer Elite Squad<\/strong> alongside Lance Archer<\/strong>, winning the IWGP Tag Team titles in NJPW<\/strong> three times and the GHC Tag Team titles in Pro Wrestling NOAH<\/strong> twice. This latest incarnation of the Hart Foundation<\/a> is poised as one of the breakout tandems of 2018.<\/p>\n

So when the two teams face off for the MLW Tag Team Championships at MLW Never Say Never<\/em> on December 13, they’ll be fighting not only for tag team gold but to further their family’s legacies in the world of professional wrestling.
