It&#8217;s <em>Scenic City Invitational Tournament<\/em> held it&#8217;s fourth annual tourney this year, <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2018\/08\/06\/joey-lynch-wins-2018-scenic-city-invitational-tournament\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">with <strong>Joey Lynch<\/strong> winning it all<\/a>, and this Saturday sees the second annual <em><strong>Scenic City Trios<\/strong><\/em> tournament taking place in Hixson, Tennessee. An eclectic bunch of trio teams this year, with several representing other indie\u00a0promotions around the area and territory. Here&#8217;s a look at what teams are entered into this year&#8217;s Trios tournament.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Team ACTION (Cam Carter, Fred Yehi and Slim J)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30577\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30577\" style=\"width: 342px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-30577\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/11\/Dp6Rm4lWkAADfvh-e1541921653192.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"342\" height=\"500\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30577\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Scenic City<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Representing Georgia&#8217;s <strong>ACTION Wrestling<\/strong>, this trio has a solid anchor in indie standout <strong>Fred Yehi<\/strong>, who had a 562-day reign as <strong>Full Impact Pro<\/strong> World Champion as well as holding the <strong>EVOLVE<\/strong> Tag Team titles with &#8220;Hot Sauce&#8221; <strong>Tracy Williams<\/strong> when he was part of the <strong>Catch Point<\/strong> stable alongside WWE Superstars <strong>Drew Gulak, TJP<\/strong> and <strong>Matt Riddle<\/strong>, as well as <strong>Doom Patrol<\/strong> (Chris Dickinson &amp; Jaka). Lead by SUP co-owner and <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2018\/10\/11\/indie-watch-kevin-ku-punk-and-southern-wrestlings-not-dead\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">rising indie star <strong>Kevin Ku<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(who has also appeared for <strong>Dojo Wars, Beyond Wrestling, Black Label Pro<\/strong> and more), Team SUP also includes <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2018\/08\/19\/mr-fun-size-an-exclusive-interview-with-marko-stunt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">one of the biggest breakout stories of 2018 in <strong>Marko Stunt<\/strong><\/a> and another emerging star in <strong>AJ Gray<\/strong>. Gray has only been wrestling since 2015, but the young man from Tennessee is already making a name for himself in places like <strong>Absolute Intense Wrestling (AIW)<\/strong>, <strong>Glory Pro<\/strong> and <strong>IWA Mid South<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"WARHORSE v. He&#8217;s since become a solid young star with the likes of Georgia&#8217;s <strong>Southern Fried Championship Wrestling (SFCW)<\/strong> and <strong>Peachstate Wrestling Alliance (PWA)<\/strong>, Alabama&#8217;s <strong>Southern Legacy Wrestling (SLW)<\/strong>, as well as ACTION. 20-year old Alan Angels is another WWA4 grad, who works SFCW, CWF Mid Atlantic, ACTION and many more Southern indies. <strong>Ike Cross<\/strong> is another star from SFCW, Anarchy and ACTION, who competed in this year&#8217;s Scenic City Invitational Tournament. For the past three years, The Carnies have consisted of <strong>Kerry Awful, Nick Iggy<\/strong> and <strong>Tripp Cassidy<\/strong>, and they&#8217;ve run amok throughout the North American indies. While usually it&#8217;s Awful and Iggy doing the bulk of the tag team work, Cassidy is no stranger to the fold. Apart from NOVA Pro, YUTA is also a regular with <strong>Major League Wrestling (MLW)<\/strong>, CHIKARA (as <strong>Sylverhawk<\/strong>) and Beyond Wrestling, and won this year&#8217;s Men&#8217;s Commonwealth Cup in NOVA Pro. His NOVA team also features\u00a0<strong>Logan Easton LaRoux<\/strong>, who for years was better known as <strong>Race Jaxon<\/strong> of <strong>NRG<\/strong> (with <strong>Hype Rockwell<\/strong>). Following the breakup of NRG, Jaxon went solo, but now still competes as <strong>BLANK<\/strong> in the team <strong>The Nouveau Aesthetic<\/strong> (with <strong>Still Life With Apricots And Pears<\/strong>). But he&#8217;s really broken out under his Logan Easton LaRoux character the past two years, primarily with NOVA Pro. The final member of the trio is a relative newcomer, <strong>Isaiah Frazier<\/strong>, who works with Maryland&#8217;s <strong>CRAB Wrestling<\/strong> as well as NOVA Pro. Georgia&#8217;s <strong>Ashton Starr<\/strong> has been wrestling since 2014, working with WWA4&#8217;s promotion, as well as breaking out with PWA and SFCW, and he&#8217;s joined by two young recruits in <strong>Lee Johnson<\/strong> and <strong>James Bandy<\/strong>.
