Over the years, some of the top indie stars in women&#8217;s wrestling have competed, including WWE Superstars like <strong>Ruby Riott<\/strong> (Heidi Lovelace) and <strong>Candice LeRae<\/strong>, as well as other stars like <strong>Rosemary, Allysin Kay (Sienna), Kimber Lee, Jessicka Havok, Nicole Matthews, Mercedes Martinez<\/strong> and many more, representing their countries in this great event. This year&#8217;s event is scheduled for Saturday October 27, 2018 in London, Ontario, where it will be a featured event at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.londoncomiccon.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">London Comic Con<\/a>. While she&#8217;s dominated IMPACT&#8217;s Knockouts Division, the 2x Knockouts Champion hasn&#8217;t forgotten her roots and returns to Smash regularly. She returns to lead Team Canada to victory in the 2018 CANUSA Classic.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>LuFisto<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_25917\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25917\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-25917\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/09\/Dly271aUUAEU9Up-e1536958714789.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-25917\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Smash Wrestling<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Adding muscle and toughness to a well rounded Canadian squad, Montreal&#8217;s <strong>LuFisto<\/strong> is a 20-year veteran who has wrestled as many men as she has women. A former hardcore legend, LuFisto is still as tough as they come and will bring a veteran leadership to the team.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Nicole Matthews<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_25919\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25919\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-25919\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/09\/Dm7e19xUUAAMqY2-e1536958736905.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-25919\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Smash Wrestling<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Nicole Matthews<\/strong> just won her first round match in the WWE <strong>Mae Young Classic<\/strong> last week, so she&#8217;ll be heading to the CANUSA Classic determined to keep that momentum going in another tournament. She recently <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2018\/09\/27\/nicole-matthews-responds-to-5-year-us-ban-ill-be-fine-everyone\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">got banned from working the US due to work visa issues<\/a>, but she&#8217;ll continue to be a presence on the Canadian indie scene and at Smash she&#8217;ll be depended on to be another strong anchor for the Canadian team at CANUSA.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>KC Spinelli<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_25918\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25918\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-25918\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/09\/Dly271bU0AARGkP-e1536958758940.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-25918\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Smash Wrestling<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Another IMPACT Knockout on Team Canada, <strong>KC Spinelli<\/strong> is also a veteran of <strong>SHIMMER<\/strong> and <strong>Women&#8217;s Superstars Uncensored (WSU)<\/strong>, as well as other Canadian indies like <strong>Alpha-1, Elite Canadian Championship Wrestling (ECCW)<\/strong> and <strong>Capital City Championship Combat (C4<\/strong>). She returned to the West Coast last year, working primarily with Vancouver&#8217;s ECCW (where she teams with Nicole Matthews) as well as Washington&#8217;s <strong>DEFY Wrestling<\/strong> and <strong>3-2-1 BATTLE!<\/strong>. A vet who carved out her career with <strong>Pure Wrestling Alliance (PWA)<\/strong> and <strong>Squared Circle Wrestling (SCW)<\/strong> in her early days, the hard hitting technical grappler is a good weapon to have in your arsenal.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Jody Threat<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_25923\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25923\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-25923\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/09\/DmNhlbNUwAAe0-t-e1536958811125.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-25923\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Smash Wrestling<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The rookie of the team, <strong>Jody Threat<\/strong> is an emerging star on the Ontario indies, working with Smash, <strong>Crossfire Wrestling<\/strong>, PWA and more. Her punk rock attitude and youthful gung ho will be an asset, with lots of veterans to help guide her.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>USA<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><strong>Tessa Blanchard<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_25927\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25927\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-25927\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/09\/DmYD56nV4AId1Tk-e1536958853447.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-25927\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Smash Wrestling<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Team USA starts off with arguably the top women&#8217;s wrestler in the world right now (and quite possible the hottest indie star in general) in <strong>Tessa Blanchard<\/strong>. The 3rd generation wrestler currently holds seven championships: IMPACT Knockouts Championship, WSU World Championship, <strong>The Crash Lucha<\/strong> Femenil Championship, <strong>PCW ULTRA<\/strong> Women&#8217;s Championship, Phoenix of <strong>RISE<\/strong> Championship, <strong>WrestleCircus<\/strong> Lady of the Ring Championship, and <strong>Zelo Pro<\/strong> Women&#8217;s Championship. Tessa has fought all the top women&#8217;s competitors &#8211; and a handful of the top men as well. The former IMPACT Knockouts, 2x WSU World Champion, <strong>All American Wrestling (AAW)<\/strong> Women&#8217;s Champion and <strong>Absolute Intense Wrestling (AIW)<\/strong> Women&#8217;s Champion is a battle hardened soldier who&#8217;s hardcore past will stack up nicely against LuFisto.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Veda Scott<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_25929\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25929\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-25929\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/09\/DmYD56uVAAAN3OX-e1536958832450.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-25929\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Smash Wrestling<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A long time regular with SHIMMER, Veda Scott is also remembered for a four year stint with Ring of Honor (2012-2016). A global indie star, Scott has worked with <strong>Pro Wrestling EVE, Stardom, Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw), DDT Pro, RevPro<\/strong> and more, as well as top US indies like Beyond Wrestling, AIW, WSU, and many more. She&#8217;s been working Europe more the past few years, but returns to Smash as part of Team USA to help her team to victory.<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"color: #111111; font-family: Roboto, sans-serif; font-size: 22px;\">Su Yung<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_25928\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25928\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-25928\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/09\/DmYD56nV4AM0qmu-e1536958877125.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-25928\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Smash Wrestling<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Team USA is stacked, bringing in another former IMPACT Knockouts Champion in &#8220;The Undead Bride&#8221; <strong>Su Yung<\/strong>. Su Yung is currently locked in a battle against Team Canada&#8217;s Allie on IMPACT, so it will be interesting if these two meet up at some point and the tensions boil over.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Jordynne Grace<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_25926\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25926\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-25926\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/09\/DmYD56lUcAApWEC-e1536958897103.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-25926\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Smash Wrestling<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Jordynne Grace<\/strong> is <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2018\/09\/22\/two-top-indie-stars-injured-on-friday-night\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">currently out with an ankle injury<\/a>, but &#8220;Thick Mama Pump&#8221; will be chomping at the bit to get back in the ring by the time CANUSA rolls around. Grace has become of the breakout indie stars of 2018 &#8211; men or women &#8211; and this will be another test for the reigning <strong>Black Label Pro<\/strong> Champion. She&#8217;s a huge piece of firepower for an already stacked American team.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Allysin Kay<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_25920\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25920\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-25920\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/09\/Dm7kWiqVsAACHzN-e1536958914656.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-25920\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Smash Wrestling<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The fourth IMPACT Knockouts Champion on Team USA&#8217;s roster, <strong>Allysin Kay<\/strong> (formerly <strong>Sienna<\/strong>) is taking the indie scene by storm since departing IMPACT this summer. She competed in the WWE Mae Young Classic and just <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2018\/09\/08\/andnew-allysin-kay-sienna-wins-shine-championship\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">recently won her first Shine Championship<\/a>. Another solid veteran warrior for the US squad.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>NAVEAH<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_27102\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-27102\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-27102\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/09\/DoJVHN7U0AAle3V-e1538264563608.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-27102\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Smash Wrestling<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Due to circumstances beyond her control, <strong>Shotzi Blackheart<\/strong> had to pull out of the CANUSA this year, but her replacement is another indie veteran on the US roster. A longtime veteran of SHIMMER, QOC and many other indies, <strong>Neveah<\/strong>&#8216;s also a member of <strong>Ohio Is For Killers (OI4K)<\/strong> alongside her husband <strong>Jake Crist<\/strong> as well as <strong>Sami Callihan, Dave Crist<\/strong>, and others, as well as the <strong>Killer Death Machines<\/strong> alongside Jessicka Havok.
