Some are veterans revitalizing their careers, some are indie prospects hitting their peaks, while others are names to be on the watch for! This edition heads to the Emerald Isle to look at one of Ireland&#8217;s emerging young stars, &#8220;The Supreme Suplex Machine&#8221;, Scotty Davis.<\/em><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_25346\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25346\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-25346\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/09\/DOM75aTW0AA41Lt-e1536103048442.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-25346\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: John Morrissey<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Irish wrestling has pumped out some great wrestlers in its history.\u00a0 From the mid 00&#8217;s revival of the scene, stars like\u00a0<strong>Finn\u00a0B\u00e1lor, Becky Lynch\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Sheamus\u00a0<\/strong>emerged.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Danno O&#8217;Mahony\u00a0<\/strong>hailed from Cork and would go on to innovate\u00a0the Irish Whip and become\u00a0<strong>NWA World Heavyweight Champion<\/strong>.\u00a0 Add to that another former NWA champion\u00a0<strong>Steve Casey\u00a0<\/strong>and NWA Junior Heavyweight\u00a0Champion\u00a0<strong>Pat Barrett\u00a0<\/strong>and it is clear that Ireland has produced great professional wrestlers for a very long time.\u00a0 With the likes of\u00a0<strong>Jordan Devlin<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Session Moth Martina\u00a0<\/strong>breaking out of the booming Irish Wrestling scene there is one heir to the throne, one young man who is undoubtedly the future of Irish Wrestling.\u00a0 The Supreme Suplex Machine <strong>Scotty Davis\u00a0<\/strong>has the potential to etch his name in history alongside the Devlin&#8217;s and Sheamus&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/twitter.com\/SupremeScottyD\/status\/993510302720380930<\/p>\n<p>Young Scotty Davis has a background in Freestyle Wrestling, having started at age 6,\u00a0 being a 7xIrish Champion, a 3xBritish Champion and has won various lower level championships.\u00a0 Davis is the marquee prospect of the\u00a0<strong>Main Stage Wrestling\u00a0<\/strong>school which has produced stars like Martina,\u00a0<strong>Angel Cruz, <\/strong>and\u00a0current NLW Champion\u00a0<strong>Terry Thatcher.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>At <em><strong>Road To Scrappermania 3<\/strong><\/em>, Davis debuted for OTT against fellow debutant\u00a0<strong>Conor Andrews<\/strong>.\u00a0 That match was the first time the OTT fans got to see some of the next generation in action and everyone in the audience was impressed by the two youngsters.\u00a0 Thanks to this\u00a0match, the fans got a taste for the new generation of young talents and were ready to see them step up.\u00a0 This is where we got <strong>OTT Contenders<\/strong> from, the brand which has been dedicated to building the newest stars of Irish Wrestling.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/twitter.com\/SupremeScottyD\/status\/1004828125904166914<\/p>\n<p>Davis has been ever present\u00a0on Contenders, while also making his mark on the main roster.\u00a0 In 2017, Contenders allowed Davis the opportunity to square off with\u00a0<strong>Luther Ward<\/strong> and the chance to team with Devlin against\u00a0<strong>Aussie Open (Mark Davis &amp; Kyle Fletcher)\u00a0<\/strong>while he also got to take\u00a0<strong>Ryan Smile\u00a0<\/strong>to his limit at <em><strong>Vendetta<\/strong><\/em>, semi\u00a0main evented the Tivoli against\u00a0<strong>El Ligero\u00a0<\/strong>and Devlin, debuted at the National Stadium against\u00a0<strong>Jigsaw\u00a0<\/strong>and ended the year being one of Contenders top three prospects earning the right to face\u00a0NXT UK Superstars <strong>British Strong Style (Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate\u00a0<\/strong>&amp;\u00a0<strong>Trent Seven)<\/strong> in the National Stadium.\u00a0 2017 was an impressive year for Davis, but has been nothing compared to his 2018.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"OTT FREE MATCH Aussie Open Vs Scotty Davis and Jordan Devlin\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/21FZ7K1FW7g?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Davis has had a great 2018 in OTT.\u00a0 First making his way to the finals of the NLW title tournament where he Main Evented the biggest Contenders show yet against Terry Thatcher, he would go on to take former\u00a0<strong>PROGRESS, NLW, IPW:UK, Lucha Forever, SMASH Wrestling, SWE, HEW\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>NGW W<\/strong>orld champion\u00a0<strong>Mark Haskins\u00a0<\/strong>to his absolute limit at <em><strong>Martina&#8217;s Gaff Party 3<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 He most recently went toe to toe with\u00a0<strong>IWGP US Champion Juice Robinson\u00a0<\/strong>at Contenders and saw his <strong>Legit 100<\/strong> faction forced to disband after losing a grudge match to<strong> More Than Hype<\/strong> at <em><strong>WrestleRama 2<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 Davis has been a featured performer in OTT for over a year now, taking on the world&#8217;s best and never missing a step<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"FREE MATCH More Than Hype Vs Legit 100,  WrestleRama 2\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/QHxzc3Gu8iE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Outside of Ireland, Davis is starting to make a mark in the UK, something which is a major step for any Irish Wrestler, by making his\u00a0<strong>TNT IGNition<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Pro Wrestling Clash\u00a0<\/strong>debut in October, and over the last weekend has won a contract with a major UK company in\u00a0<strong>Fight Club: PRO<\/strong>\u00a0(owned by Trent Seven) where he would go on to have an amazing match with Jordan Devlin at one of their main shows.\u00a0 The scene is taking notice of his talents and it is time for Davis to make his mark &#8211;
