During a match against <strong>Rhea Ripley<\/strong>, <strong>Toni Storm<\/strong> went down with a back injury, and while some speculated it may have been storyline, the referee threw up the X sign to the back staff to indicate a legitimate injury had occurred that needed medical attention.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-25053\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/08\/Toni-Storm-696x392-e1535574749684.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><\/p>\n<p>While the extent of the injury is not fully known as of yet, as a precaution, Toni Storm has been pulled from the upcoming <strong>PROGRESS<\/strong> tour in Germany this weekend, where she was set to compete in a fatal four way against PROGRESS Women&#8217;s Champion <strong>Jinny, Killer Kelly<\/strong> and &#8220;The Alpha Female&#8221; <strong>Jazzy Gabert<\/strong> on Friday in Hamburg. Toni Storm also missed this past Monday&#8217;s <em><strong>PROGRESS Chapter 75<\/strong><\/em>, where she was scheduled to lead Team Storm (<strong>Millie McKenzie, Laura Di Matteo <\/strong>&amp;<strong> Candyfloss<\/strong>) against <strong>The House of\u00a0 Couture<\/strong> (Jinny, <strong>Chakara, Charlie Morgan<\/strong> &amp;<strong> Nina Samuels<\/strong>) in an 8-woman tag match. Instead, the match was changed to a #1 Contenders match for Jinny&#8217;s PROGRESS Women&#8217;s title, with McKenzie defeating Candyfloss, Charlie Morgan, Chakara and Laura Di Matteo instead.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">BREAKING: due to an injury sustained at the weekend, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/tonistorm_?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">@tonistorm_<\/a> is out of this weekend&#39;s PROGRESS shows in Hamburg, Oberhausen and Frankfurt. As part of PROGRESS&#8217; tour of Germany, they were double heading with Germany&#8217;s <strong>Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw)<\/strong> with a series of shows, including this weekend&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2018\/08\/27\/preview-wxw-fans-appreciation-night-9-01-18\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em><strong>wXw FAN<\/strong><\/em> event<\/a>. On night one (Friday), Toni Storm was scheduled to team with Killer Kelly in a tag match against Millie McKenzie &amp; <strong>Kris Wolf<\/strong>. On Saturday, she was slated to defend her wXw Women&#8217;s Championship against Jazzy Gabert. With her withdrawal from the Germany events, wXw issued a statement today that they have vacated the title and will crown a new Women&#8217;s Champion on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/twitter.com\/wXwGermany\/status\/1034885934754525184<\/p>\n<p>wXw also announced that the tag match Storm was supposed to be involved in will now be a triple threat match between McKenzie, Wolf and Killer Kelly and the winner will move on to face Jazzy Gabert, the legitimate #1 contender, on Saturday night to crown the new wXw Women&#8217;s Champion.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/twitter.com\/wXwGermany\/status\/1034886423827148800<\/p>\n<p>At one point this year, Toni Storm held four titles simultaneously &#8211; the PROGRESS Women&#8217;s Championship, World of <strong>Stardom<\/strong> Championship, wXw Women&#8217;s Championship and Stardom&#8217;s SWA Undisputed World Women&#8217;s Championship. In the past few months, she lost the SWA title to <strong>Viper<\/strong>, the World of Stardom title to <strong>Kagetsu<\/strong>, and the PROGRESS belt to Jinny.
