Founded in 2017, Black Label Pro (BLP) made their debut last September with <em><strong>The Darkest Timeline<\/strong><\/em> two-night event, and has since gone on to become one of the most exciting new promotions to emerge from the US Midwest. In fact, while <em><strong>Joey Janela&#8217;s Spring Break 2<\/strong><\/em> this past spring rocketed <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2018\/05\/03\/pco-the-redemption-of-pierre-carl-ouellette\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>PCO<\/strong>&#8216;s resurgence<\/a>, the comeback tour actually began with BLP earlier this January, when PCO faced <strong>&#8220;All Ego&#8221; Ethan Page<\/strong> at BLP&#8217;s <em><strong>We&#8217;re Not The Mounties<\/strong><\/em>. But this Saturday, while BLP Champion <strong>Jordynne Grace<\/strong> will not be present, BLP still has a stellar, explosive card worth checking out. This year he added to that resume, debuting with <strong>Lucha Underground<\/strong> and Mexico&#8217;s <strong>AAA<\/strong>. Only 25 years old, the former 2x Inspire Pro Junior Crown Champion and WrestleCircus Sideshow Champion is only going to get better. He&#8217;s facing two men in this Triple Threat match-up, starting with another youngster in Chicago&#8217;s <strong>Pat Monix<\/strong>. In his hometown, he&#8217;s a regular with <strong>GALLI Lucha Libre<\/strong>, but of late he&#8217;s been toughening up in <strong>IWA Mid South<\/strong> and <strong>Freelance Wrestling<\/strong>. The two up and comers face off with another Chicago wrestler, 33-year old veteran <strong>Gringo Loco<\/strong>, another veeteran of Chicago&#8217;s GALLI, as well as Freelance, <strong>Game Changer Wrestling (GCW)<\/strong>, AAW, and Cleveland&#8217;s <strong>Absolute Intense Wrestling (AIW)<\/strong>, amongst others. This will have its share of athleticism, but make no mistake. These guys can dish out &#8211; and take &#8211; their fair share of abuse.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Kevin Ku &amp; Mystery Partner vs. Percy Davis &amp; Mystery Partner<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_24104\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-24104\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-24104\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/08\/Dklvi7bVAAEvJQD-e1534392895574.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"369\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-24104\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: BLP<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Kevin Ku<\/strong> is a newcomer to the wrestling world, but he comes from the <strong>New England Pro Wrestling Academy<\/strong> where he was trained by <strong>Brian Fury<\/strong>. He also gained some national exposure as part of the recent <strong>Dojo Pro<\/strong> series put on in part by <strong>Ring of Honor<\/strong> on Amazon Prime, as well as making a name for himself in such promotions as <strong>Carolina Wrestling Federation (CWF) Mid Atlantic<\/strong> and <strong>Southern Underground Pro (SUP)<\/strong>. He&#8217;s taking on another youngster in 24-year old <strong>Percy Davis<\/strong> from Lafayette, Indiana, who hopes to make a name for himself in his home state BLP, after spending his previous time with the likes of IWA Mid South, CWF Mid Atlantic, <strong>Rockstar Pro, Atlanta Wrestling Entertainment (AWE)<\/strong> and more. Davis made his <strong>CHIKARA<\/strong> debut this year as part of the <em><strong>Young Lions Cup<\/strong><\/em> tournament. This match will be a tag match and these two young Southern grapplers will be coming in with mystery partners, adding intrigue to an already exciting match up between two emerging Southern stars, as they two were former team mates at <em><strong>BLP Jam<\/strong><\/em>, until Ku turned his back on Davis.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>No Consequences (Chase Oliver &amp; Tre&#8217; Lamar) vs. Space Pirates (Space Monkey &amp; Shane Sabre)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_24103\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-24103\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-24103\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/08\/Dkl2U_-VsAAKrQv-e1534392918865.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"369\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-24103\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: BLP<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>No Consequences<\/strong> is a stable on the independents that at times features the likes of <strong>AJ Gray, Malcolm Monroe III<\/strong>, and others, but on Saturday, the young tandem of <strong>Chase Oliver &amp; Tre&#8217; Lamar<\/strong> &#8211; both trained by WWE Superstars <strong>Johnny Gargano<\/strong> and <strong>Candice LeRae<\/strong> &#8211; step into the ring under the No Consquences banner to face a wildly unpredictable Canadian duo in the <strong>Space Pirates<\/strong>. <strong>Space Monkey<\/strong> is as unruly as they get, a simian high flyer with a penchant for bananas, while his partner, <strong>Shane Sabre<\/strong>, is one of Canada&#8217;s loosest cannons. The duo are the current reigning <strong>Alpha-1<\/strong> Tag Team Champions (<strong>Ethan Page<\/strong>&#8216;s promotion) and these two are ready to bring the fight to the two young stars.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Kobe Durst vs. Josh Briggs<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_24105\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-24105\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-24105\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/08\/DkmECLtUYAAtKCr-e1534392945910.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"369\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-24105\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: BLP<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Speaking of Alpha-1 (or A1), <strong>Kobe Durst<\/strong> is another of Canada&#8217;s rising new stars, having competed for A1 (where he&#8217;s a former A1 Alpha Male Champion and A1 Zero-G Champion)\u00a0 and the reigning C4 Champion with Ottawa&#8217;s <strong>Capital City Championship Combat (C4)<\/strong>. He&#8217;s also worked with <strong>Smash Wrestling<\/strong> and other Canadian indies, while making a name for himself in the US with Freelance Wrestling, <strong>Glory Pro<\/strong> and others. He heads into what will be bombastic match up against the powerhouse <strong>Josh Briggs<\/strong> (another student of Brian Fury) who has become one of the emerging new stars for <strong>Chaotic Wrestling (CW)<\/strong> in Massachusetts. The current reigning CW New England Champion didn&#8217;t take long to break out &#8211; last year he made his debut for the likes of <strong>Beyond Wrestling<\/strong> and <strong>Limitless<\/strong>, and this year has continued that momentum, with debuts with <strong>EVOLVE, House of Hardcore, MCW Pro<\/strong>, and more.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Mancer Rules Match: Mance Warner vs. Allie Kat<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_24108\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-24108\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-24108\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/08\/DkpNgMuV4AAtQlQ-e1534392968943.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"370\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-24108\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: BLP<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Mance Warner<\/strong> has become one of the new faces of American hardcore, where he&#8217;s a 2x IWA Mid South Heavyweight Champion, and regular with the likes of <strong>Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), H2O<\/strong> and GCW. He&#8217;s also working with AIW, Glory Pro and others, as he spreads his insanity across the country. But one person not afraid of Warner&#8217;s lunacy is <strong>Allie Kat,<\/strong> an emerging star on the women&#8217;s and intergender circuit, whose got toughness beyond her years. A regular competitor with Texas&#8217; <strong>Anarchy Championship Wrestling (ACW)<\/strong> as well as <strong>Queens of Combat (QOC), NOVA Pro Wrestling<\/strong>, AAW, and more, Allie Kat is here for a fight and she&#8217;s not intimidated by Mance Warner&#8217;s resume. She&#8217;s spent much of the past year fighting with another rough hellion in <strong>Shotzi Blackheart<\/strong> over the IWA Mid South Women&#8217;s Championship.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>&#8220;Filthy&#8221; Tom Lawlor vs. CW Anderson<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_24107\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-24107\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-24107\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/08\/DkpNfPJUcAIySXu-e1534392988188.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"369\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-24107\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: BLP<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>MMA stars making the transition to professional wrestling is nothing new to the sport. MMA stars from <strong>Ken Shamrock<\/strong> to <strong>Dan &#8220;The Beast&#8221; Severn<\/strong> to <strong>Minoru Suzuki<\/strong> to current stars like <strong>KUSHIDA, Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler<\/strong> and <strong>Matt Riddle<\/strong> have all left their imprints on the industry. Much like Ken Shamrock, <strong>&#8220;Filthy&#8221; Tom Lawlor<\/strong> made his pro wrestling debut prior to entering MMA, in 2005 with <strong>Southern Championship Wrestling<\/strong> in Florida, before heading to the MMA world in 2007. He made his <strong>UFC<\/strong> debut in 2008 with <em><strong>The Ultimate Fighter<\/strong><\/em> before going on to 6-5 record in the UFC (and 10-6 record overall) before a suspension from the UFC in 2016. He&#8217;s spent his suspension honing his pro wrestling career, working with AIW and MLW, as well as becoming an impact player in BLP &#8211; Lawlor is a former BLP Champion. He was actually just released from his UFC contract this past Monday, just before his suspension was to be lifted in October. He&#8217;ll be heading into his match on Saturday with a new aggression, facing former ECW Superstar <strong>CW Anderson<\/strong>, in what is sure to be a match with extreme consequences. &#8220;The Enforcer&#8221; CW Anderson is a member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/2016\/04\/30\/story-of-the-anderson-family\/\" target=\"_self\">kayfabled Anderson clan<\/a> (a cousin of Arn Anderson and others) and was a longtime partner of <strong>Simon Diamond<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Joey Janela vs. D&#8217;Lo Brown<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_24111\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-24111\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-24111\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/08\/DkrV8LqU4AAj49V-e1534393017619.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"369\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-24111\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: BLP<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Joey Janela<\/strong> is not only indie wrestling&#8217;s resident &#8220;Bad Boy&#8221; and one of the indie scene&#8217;s fastest rising stars of the past year, but he&#8217;s become determined to take out past wrestling legends, facing the likes of <strong>Marty Jannetty, Ultimo Dragon, The Great Sasuke, Teddy Hart, PCO<\/strong>, and <strong>The Invisible Man<\/strong>. His mission continues this Saturday, a day after he faces former WWE Superstar <strong>Hakushi<\/strong> (aka <strong>Michinoku Pro<\/strong> legend <strong>Jinesi Shinzaki<\/strong>) at <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2018\/08\/07\/joey-janelas-lost-in-new-york-to-air-live-on-ppv-on-fite\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em><strong>Joey Janela&#8217;s Lost In New York<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, by facing former WWE Intercontinental Champion and 4x WWE European Champion <strong>D&#8217;Lo Brown<\/strong> in what should be a high flying match with lots of comedy.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>PCO vs. Darby Allin<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_24110\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-24110\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-24110\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/08\/DkrV6yVU4AE0AaI-e1534393038511.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"369\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-24110\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: BLP<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>PCO continues his astounding 2018, this time taking on a man that is literally the size of his right leg. But don&#8217;t mistake his size for weakness &#8211; <strong>Darby Allin<\/strong> is one of the most masochistic daredevils on the pro wrestling circuit today. While PCO has proven time and again this year he is most definitely &#8220;not human&#8221;, Darby Allin has proven almost the same. The seemingly frail young man has endured severe beatings from the likes of <strong>WALTER<\/strong>, Matt Riddle, <strong>Brody King, Sami Callihan<\/strong> and more, and walked away to fight another day (and in many cases, victorious). PCO is equally masochistic, but equally sadistic, and this will be yet another classic on both men&#8217;s resumes.
