And while La Parka was indeed a lucha legend in Mexico, he was more used in a comedic role in WCW, air guitaring on a folding chair and used more as a foil than a danger. But fast forward to the year 2018, and you have both men on a career resurgence that is making them more popular than ever in their combined 102 years on this dust ball planet called Earth. But on October 4, 2018, at Major League Wrestling (MLW)‘s tapings at the Melrose Ballroom in New York City, we will see just that. Two men who have defied questionable gimmicks to emerge hotter as 50 year olds and become must see indie attractions based on simply being themselves – Quebecer Pierre Carl Ouellette has been transformed into the Franksteinesque “Not Human” PCO and La Parka is competing as LA Park, setting huge attendance numbers in Mexico helping out both AAA and CMLL. “This match replaces the originally scheduled Pentagon Jr. & Rey Fenix vs. LA Park & El Hijo de LA Park bout,” MLW stated in their press release today. “Due to circumstances beyond our control, Pentagon Jr. & Rey Fenix will not be able to attend the October 4 show.
