Trained by <strong>All Japan Women<\/strong>&#8216;s legend <strong>Chigusa Nagayo<\/strong> and debuting in 1995 with her mentor&#8217;s new promotion <strong>GAEA Japan<\/strong>, Satomura went on to become one of the greatest wrestlers of her generation &#8211; male or female. During her ten year run with GAEA, she was also a part of WCW&#8217;s women&#8217;s division in the mid-90s (which was one of the few things during the Monday Night Wars that WCW managed to do much, much worse than even the WWF) as well as appearing for <strong>Japanese Women Pro-Wrestling Project (JWP)<\/strong> and <strong>OZ Academy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Akira Hokuto vs Meiko Satomura 4\/29\/2001 GAEA\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LH56Y4jFO6c?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In 2006, Meiko Satomura branched out and created her own promotion, <strong>Sendai Girls&#8217; Pro Wrestling<\/strong>, which still stands today as one of Japan&#8217;s top\u00a0<em>joshi\u00a0<\/em>promotions. Despite running her own promotion, Satomura has continued to work with other Japanese companies, including <strong>Stardom, Dragon Gate, DIANA, Pro Wrestling WAVE<\/strong> and <strong>DDT<\/strong>. In 2012, she took a Sendai Girls team to <strong>CHIKARA<\/strong>&#8216;s <em><strong>King of Trios<\/strong><\/em> tournament, making it to the final four. She returned again in 2016, this time winning the tournament, in a final against a team from JWP, lead by fellow\u00a0<em>joshi<\/em> legend, <strong>Command Bolshoi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=eIBWu9zbZDQ<\/p>\n<p>In 2017, she began to expand her international presence, making her UK debut with <strong>Pro Wrestling EVE.<\/strong> She&#8217;s since moved on to <strong>Fight Club PRO<\/strong> as well &#8211; where she&#8217;s currently their champion (as in FCP Champion, not their women&#8217;s champion) &#8211; and this past WrestleMania weekend, competed for the likes of AAW and Wrestling Revolver.
