No word on if the match will air on ROH TV on Sinclair Broadcasting, but it ends Castle&#8217;s World title run at 197 days. But it also ends a disappointing World title run for Dalton Castle, who emerged as one of ROH&#8217;s most popular characters since he debuted as a regular in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=wojzQvkv6Oo<\/p>\n<p>Sadly, Castle&#8217;s run was tainted by a series of injuries, including a broken hand and compounding issues with an injured back, that he needed to take time away to heal. While he still defended the title on several occasions, including recent defences against NJPW&#8217;s <strong>EVIL<\/strong> during the <em><strong>Honor United<\/strong><\/em> tour in the UK in May, against <strong>Marty Scurll<\/strong> at <em><strong>ROH Supercard of Honor XII<\/strong><\/em> in April and Jay Lethal at the <em><strong>16th Anniversary Show<\/strong><\/em> in February, he&#8217;s been protected in tag matches for a large part of his reign due to injuries.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_21282\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-21282\" style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-21282\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/07\/fBNnJLoU-e1530652285725.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-21282\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: twitter.com\/thedaltoncastle<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2017\/12\/16\/breaking-bullet-club-clean-sweep-dalton-castle-wins-roh-title\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The story leading up to his title victory<\/a> at <em><strong>Final Battle<\/strong><\/em> last December was one of Ring of Honor&#8217;s best stories, as Castle systematically defeated the ROH Bullet Club contingent, knocking off the <strong>Young Bucks<\/strong> (in tag action with Lethal), Marty Scurll, <strong>Hangman Page<\/strong>, and even <strong>Kenny Omega<\/strong> (in a 6-man tag that saw Castle team with Lethal and <strong>Kenny King<\/strong> against The Elite), before dethroning Cody Rhodes as ROH World Champion.<\/p>\n<p>It will be interesting if Lethal&#8217;s first feud leads to Cody Rhodes, as Cody is still on a quest to win the ROH World title again before heading to <em><strong>ALL IN<\/strong><\/em> to face NWA World Heavyweight Champion <strong>Nick Aldis<\/strong> on September 1.
