PROGRESS Wrestling<\/strong> returns from a timewarp which saw Chapter 70<\/strong><\/em> take place in the 1970’s, with a strong card in\u00a0PROGRESS\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Chapter 71:<\/em> F.E.E.L.I.N.G.C.A.L.L.E.D.P.R.O.G.R.E.S.S<\/strong>, featuring the\u00a0return of one of British Wrestlings favourite women’s wrestlers.<\/p>\n

Match 1: ATLAS Number 1 Contendership: Michael Dante vs Damian Corvin<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Two men known more for their tag team prowess than being singles stars.\u00a0 Dante is famously known as one half of the\u00a0Sumerian Death Squad\u00a0<\/strong>alongside\u00a0Aleister Black\u00a0<\/strong>(formerly Tommy End) and was set to have a\u00a0breakout year when End was signed but injuries have left him forgotten about.\u00a0 The Dutchman\u00a0is a true powerhouse and fits the ATLAS mold perfectly.\u00a0 Corvin is mostly known in Ireland as part of the dominant\u00a0Kings Of The North\u00a0<\/strong>faction alongside\u00a0Bonesaw\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Dunkan Disorderly,\u00a0<\/strong>Corvin has always been singled out as the potential singles star of the group.\u00a0 Despite what you may think when you first look at Corvin he is a great all-rounder\u00a0rather than just a powerhouse.\u00a0 He can fly, grapple and move at a quick pace.\u00a0 Big lads wrestling at it’s best in this number one contender matchup<\/p>\n

Match 2: Deathmatch: Jimmy Havoc vs Spike Trivet<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Trivet is the most annoying man in wrestling, his gimmick and the manner in which he presents himself will play very well off Havoc.\u00a0 Trivet has deathmatch experience having faced\u00a0Drew Parker\u00a0<\/strong>in a heated grudge match recently.\u00a0 Trivet is the kind of guy that you want to see thrown into chairs and thrown into tacks and Havoc is more than happy to oblige.\u00a0 After Super Strong Style 16 Havoc has his eyes set on a Wembley showdown with\u00a0Will Ospreay\u00a0<\/strong>and his quest to find the killer Jimmy Havoc begins here.<\/p>\n

Match 3: Natural Progression Series Final: Danny Duggan vs Mark Davis<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This is what the NPS series is all about, highlighting underutilized singles talents and giving them a platform to showcase their skills.\u00a0 Duggan has been very exciting and impressive so far in this tournament.\u00a0 Across from him is tag wrestler Davis who is usually seen alongside\u00a0Kyle Fletcher\u00a0<\/strong>as\u00a0Aussie Open.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Davis already has big match experience having faced off with\u00a0WALTER\u00a0<\/strong>and he can use that experience to his advantage<\/p>\n

Match 4: Mark Haskins & Flash Morgan Webster (w\/ Vicky Haskins) vs Anti Fun Police (Damian Dunne & Los Federales Santos Jr.)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Another heel vs heel match as part of the Tag Team Series.\u00a0 Webster and Haskins are still working to get on the same page but they are slowly getting there.\u00a0 This may cost them as they face a well oiled and experienced team in the Anti Fun Police.\u00a0 Much like the matches between Haskins and the\u00a0Grizzler Young Vets\u00a0<\/strong>this will end up being who can out cheat the other.<\/p>\n

Match 5: Angelico vs Chris Brookes<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The battle of the tall lads.\u00a0 Brookes is having a singles run as he waits for\u00a0Kid Lykos <\/strong>to be cleared for action despite CCK being in the tag series.\u00a0 He faces tough opposition in former\u00a0AAA\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Lucha Underground\u00a0<\/strong>star Angelico, who has been wrestling all over Europe since moving to Spain and debuted in PROGRESS with a decent showing in SSS16.\u00a0 Despite their size, these two are extremely athletic and this could steal the show<\/p>\n

Match 6: South Pacific Power Trip (TK Cooper & Travis Banks) vs WALTER & Jack Sexsmith<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Big stipulation attached to this one.\u00a0 If WALTER or Sexsmith score the pinfall, they earn a title shot.\u00a0 But should they take the fall, they will not be allowed to challenge for the title as long as Banks is champion.\u00a0 SSPT was one of PROGRESS’ elite tag teams before breaking up due to VISA issues and only good things can come from them being together again.\u00a0 Their opponents are two very different performers.\u00a0 WALTER is the dominant ring general that is all business 24\/7, whereas Sexsmith is the plucky underdog who is all about representing his community.\u00a0 One established tag team against an odd couple pairing with a heavy stipulation.<\/p>\n

Main Event: PROGRESS Women’s World Championship: Jinny (c) vs Steffanie Newell<\/strong><\/h3>\n

NXT star Steffanie (Nixon) Newell takes on a reported WWE UK signing in a huge Women’s title match.\u00a0 Jinny finally claimed her throne<\/a> by defeating\u00a0Toni Storm\u00a0<\/strong>at Chapter 69<\/strong> and claiming the title, and with the\u00a0House Of Couture (Chakara, Charlie Morgan & Nina Samuels)\u00a0<\/strong>behind her she looks almost unstoppable.\u00a0 Her opponent is returning NXT star Newell, who was known throughout the UK for having the shiniest wizard.\u00a0 This is what a women’s main event is all about<\/a>, two stars and two awesome wrestlers clashing for the prestigious title.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
