For years, Lola Vice battled many women in an effort to get a title in NXT. She always was real close, but couldn\u2019t get the victory. However, that all changed at Stand & Deliver in April. She captured the NXT Women\u2019s Championship from Jacy Jayne in a triple threat match that also featured Kendal Grey; now she looks to win it back in an NXT Underground match.<\/span><\/p>\n

Her first retention was on night\u00a0one\u00a0of NXT Revenge against Jayne, sending\u00a0her\u00a0and\u00a0Fatal Influence<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0Friday Night SmackDown. She then beat\u00a0Izzi Dame and La\u00a0Hiedra\u00a0before Grey ended her reign at the Great American Bash. <\/span><\/p>\n

Two weeks later, she won a number one contender\u2019s match against Kali Armstrong and Kelani Jordan to get a chance to reclaim her title. The two women met on the July 21 episode of NXT, leading to her wanting to compete in an NXT Underground match. Grey accepted, with the match being scheduled for the August 4 NXT. Will she get her title back or will Grey keep her reign going?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Lola Vice is Undefeated in NXT Underground Matches<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

NXT has held seven NXT Underground matches, with four out of the seven being women\u2019s matches. All four of them include Vice, and she has won all of them. She beat Natalya on night two of Spring Breakin\u2019 two years ago, followed that up with a win against Shayna Baszler at NXT Battleground two months later, and defeated Jaida Parker at NXT Deadline to close out the year. The concept was brought back earlier this year, when she beat\u00a0Jordan at NXT Vengeance Day<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

She was signed directly from MMA, with the concept borrowing many elements from the fighting style. It\u2019s clear she wants her title back, so she\u2019s challenging Grey to a match type that she hasn\u2019t lost yet. She has the direct advantage, making her a clear favorite to reclaim her title in two weeks. It took her four years in NXT to become NXT Women\u2019s Champion. An NXT Underground match<\/a> would be the easiest way to give\u00a0Vice\u00a0a second reign.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Grey\u00a0Won\u2019t\u00a0Give Up Her Title So Easily<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

In a short amount of time, Grey has become a major star in the NXT women\u2019s division.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>She was the Evolve Women\u2019s Champion for\u00a0<\/span><\/span>150 days<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>before vacating it to\u00a0<\/span><\/span>move up<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>permanently<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>in March.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>The next month, she beat Jayne and Vice to become the NXT Women\u2019s Champion. <\/span><\/p>\n

She beat Nattie in\u00a0<\/span><\/span>a great<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>retention on th<\/span>e June 30 NXT, showing everyone how\u00a0<\/span><\/span>athletic<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and talented she is.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>In addition,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>she\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>had a successful run with NXT Women\u2019s Speed Champion Wren Sinclair in a tag team<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Many see her as the future of the women\u2019s division, and\u00a0<\/span><\/span>it\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>been easy to see why. Vice challenged h<\/span>er to an NXT Underground match because she knows how strong she is.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>T<\/span>o\u00a0<\/span><\/span>retain<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>she\u2019l<\/span>l<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>have<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>t<\/span>o use\u00a0<\/span><\/span>every ounce of it to beat her opponent, who has never lost in the match type.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Grey will have to put on an impressive performance\u00a0<\/span><\/span>in order to<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>h<\/span>ave a chanc<\/span>e of\u00a0<\/span><\/span>retaining<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>her<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>NXT Wome<\/span>n\u2019s Championship.<\/span><\/p>\n
