Since its acquisition by WWE, Lucha Libre AAA has been home to many intense feuds between many great wrestlers. Dominik Mysterio beat El Hijo del Vikingo to become AAA Mega Champion. The mask vs. mask match led to Ludwig Kaiser\u2019s El Grande Americano declaring victory over Chad Gable after many months of fighting. <\/span><\/p>\n

La Catalina has become a star in the women\u2019s division. But on the June 20, 2026 episode of AAA, a returning faction made its presence known in a huge way. <\/span><\/p>\n

Los Perros del Mal<\/a> was revived by Daga, who brought along Angel, Berto, Bronco Nima, and Karmen Petrovic. They attacked Americano, making everyone know that they\u2019re not in\u00a0<\/span>AAA\u00a0to\u00a0have\u00a0fun.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Three\u00a0weeks\u00a0later,\u00a0they\u00a0decided\u00a0to\u00a0attack\u00a0him\u00a0again,\u00a0but\u00a0this\u00a0time\u00a0Mysterio\u00a0made\u00a0the\u00a0save.\u00a0It\u00a0was\u00a0then\u00a0decided\u00a0that\u00a0a tag match<\/a> would happen between them and two members of Los Perros del Mal. This is a great decision for everyone involved in the match for many reasons.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

El Grande Americano and Dominik Mysterio Can Form a Necessary Alliance<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Both Americano and Mysterio have a common enemy in Los Perros del Mal. But they also have enemies outside of the ring. Mysterio\u2019s father, Rey, is the current AAA General Manager<\/a>. He definitely knows his son\u2019s cheating ways with\u00a0 Judgment Day. There\u2019s no question the current AAA Mega Champion uses every advantage he can to win.<\/span><\/p>\n

The same cheating tactics have helped Americano win over the last several months. If Rey handicaps Dominik somehow, Americano will use his loaded mask to win and vice versa. <\/span><\/p>\n

Gable hasn\u2019t seen Americano since he\u00a0lost the\u00a0mask vs. mask match. There\u2019s going to\u00a0be\u00a0a point in\u00a0time where they\u00a0meet up, and he won\u2019t be accepting his\u00a0apology.\u00a0A\u00a0matchup between an\u00a0unmasked Gable and Americano could be\u00a0even more personal than their other encounters.\u00a0If\u00a0this ends up\u00a0being a\u00a0legitimate partnership, Mysterio can provide backup in\u00a0order for\u00a0him\u00a0to\u00a0escape\u00a0without\u00a0harm\u00a0before\u00a0anything\u00a0can\u00a0get\u00a0too\u00a0messy.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the best things about AAA so far is the talent mix. Many main roster wrestlers have shown up, including Damian Priest ahead of his title\u00a0vs.\u00a0title\u00a0match<\/a> with R-Truth against the War Raiders. But there\u2019s also been NXT talent competing in matches. <\/span><\/p>\n

Bronco Nima and Karmen Petrovic are the latest arrivals from NXT. Sticking them in a stable with AAA mainstay Daga and Friday Night SmackDown\u2019s Angel and Berto will give them knowledge inside and outside the ring. <\/span><\/p>\n

Even though Petrovic won\u2019t be in the match, she now has an opportunity to wrestle Bayley, La Catalina, Lady Flammer, and others who have decades of experience. If Nima gets in the match, he gets to wrestle two men who have been on the main roster for a long time. <\/span><\/p>\n

No compatibility issues could mean that he and Lucien Price could get called up soon. The mix of AAA, main roster, and NXT talent helps create an environment where everyone learns from each other and gets better.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Making the first match of the reformed Los Perros del Mal a tag team match against Americano and Mysterio is a great decision. They have to face two men who have defined WWE participation in AAA. Americano beat Chad Gable in an epic match that was a huge payoff for months of intense fighting. <\/span><\/p>\n

Mysterio has been AAA Mega Champion for ten months now with many entertaining moments and great retentions throughout his reign. <\/span>An alliance could help them against Mysterio\u2019s father, Rey and Gable, who could play a role in preventing them from winning. <\/span><\/p>\n

Los Perros del Mal features two NXT regulars in Nima and Petrovic. Bringing them to AAA allows them to learn from and get in the ring with main roster wrestlers and AAA legends with decades of experience. There\u2019s no question that they\u2019ll learn a lot from many different people throughout their run in the faction.
