Last but certainly not least, two former friends who were thick as thieves back in Japan will have their first-ever showdown one-on-one in OKC.<\/p>\n<p data-rm-block-id=\"block-7\">WWE&#8217;s week started hot and heavy in Chicago, Illinois, in the Allstate Arena, absolutely setting the tone for the rest of the week. He took a moment to address his professional situation, as he had a physical altercation with Gunther. Aldis feels like he was justified, even though he is sorry. After mediation, he&#8217;s back. Aldis would then introduce the new Undisputed WWE Champion, CM Punk.<\/p>\n<p>Aldis would congratulate Punk and quickly give him the floor. Punk shared that he had negotiations with NBC Universal and The USA Network, and, spearheaded by Nick Aldis, he signed with WWE SmackDown. Everything went quickly, and with a &#8220;championship title fell out of the sky,&#8221; CM Punk put his gear on in his house, kissed AJ Lee goodbye, and won the title at the Allstate Arena.<\/p>\n<p>CM Punk made a jab at Roman Reigns, saying he will defend this title day in and day out, whether it&#8217;s on TV or PLEs, saying he&#8217;s the &#8220;Best in the World,&#8221; not just because it&#8217;s fun to be cocky, but it&#8217;s true. CM Punk mentioned Sami Zayn, saying he gets his transgressions, and he&#8217;s willing to give him a rematch. Punk then mentioned Gunther, remarking he might regret it, but he&#8217;s beaten Gunther before, and he&#8217;ll do it again.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Second City Saint&#8221; then went on to name Finn Balor, Royce Keys and Trick Williams before the arrival of QB1, Cody Rhodes.<\/p>\n<p>Rhodes and Punk went at it in a heated exchange, setting up the<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2026\/07\/10\/wwe-summerslam-2026-massive-main-event-title-match-official\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\"> ultimate showdown<\/a> between the two.<\/p>\n<h2>Finn Balor vs. Tama Tonga<\/h2>\n<p>Former Bullet Club brothers go at it, as Finn Balor and Tama Tonga settle ancient history. Balor would come out of the gate hot, hitting Tama with a Shotgun Dropkick. Balor was on the verge of hitting Tama with a dive before Tama Tonga would interfere, allowing his brother to ground Balor. Tama dominated for a bit until Balor got into the groove once again.<\/p>\n<p>Tama would wrestle back control after an impressive Spinning Side Slam for a near-fall. Tama went for the Cutthroat, only to eat a Sling Blade, followed by a Shotgun Dropkick. Balor had Coup de Grace in mind but hesitated due to Talla&#8217;s lingering presence. Balor would still go for it, only for Tama to roll out of the way and hit a landing Finn with a Cutthroat. Balor still managed to kick out.<\/p>\n<p>Balor would come back, hitting a Suicide Senton on both Tama and Talla, making the playing field even again. He brought Tama back into the ring, hit another Shotgun Dropkick, and finally hit Coup de Grace for the win.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Backstage<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We see Carmelo Hayes hyped for his non-title showdown with Trick Williams tonight.<\/li>\n<li>R-Truth was hanging around with Fraxiom before Jacob Fatu, with Jimmy Uso, walked in asking for Royce Keys. Truth didn&#8217;t know, and Damian Priest backed him up. Priest warned that Keys isn&#8217;t their problem, so he should quit covering for him.<\/li>\n<li>On the phone, Nick Aldis was speaking to Sami Zayn about his mental health break before Gunther walked in. The Ring General said Aldis needs to make this right, saying he deserves a shot at the Undisputed WWE Title and he&#8217;ll give him until the end of the night to fix it. Aldis would say he will consider it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>The Bloodline is in OKC<\/h2>\n<p>We see Jacob Fatu and Jimmy Uso, with the latter not waiting around, wanting Solo Sikoa to come out and face them. Instead of Sikoa, Royce Keys would march into the ring. Keys took exception to his name being dragged through the mud, saying their family business is affecting him. Jimmy said this is &#8220;OTC business,&#8221; but Keys would remark they&#8217;re doing the bidding of a man who isn&#8217;t even here.<\/p>\n<p>Jacob said he needs to keep it tight, saying they&#8217;re close and he wants to keep it that way, but he needs to keep Roman Reigns&#8217; name out of his mouth. Keys would think about it for a split second, saying it doesn&#8217;t need to be like that. Jimmy would say he can&#8217;t tell them what to do and he&#8217;s not part of the family. Royce would go on a rant, saying blood doesn&#8217;t make him family, but loyalty.<\/p>\n<p>Keys would go off, saying that he lost family members, but he&#8217;s seen The Bloodline go at each other&#8217;s throats for half a decade, and for 14 years he&#8217;s respected and loved Jacob Fatu, and he doesn&#8217;t want him to go down this path. Jimmy Uso warned him that he&#8217;s about to cross a line he won&#8217;t be able to come back from. Keys said he wasn&#8217;t looking for a fight, but he&#8217;s now crossing this metaphorical line. Jimmy said he and Jacob will put the beating to him.<\/p>\n<p>Jacob Fatu said there&#8217;s no &#8220;we&#8221; in this situation, saying it&#8217;s all on Jimmy and he&#8217;s out.<\/p>\n<h2>Jimmy Uso vs. Royce Keys<\/h2>\n<p>Uso asked for Nick Aldis to make this official, attempting to sucker punch Keys before getting his butt handed to him as these two face off in an impromptu matchup. Keys absolutely annihilated Jimmy Uso all through the match, overpowering the multiple-time WWE Tag Team Champion.<\/p>\n<p>Keys was on the verge of finishing this off before Jimmy would wriggle himself out of the grasp of Keys and take control on the outside. Before Jimmy could do something about it, Sikoa would grab him at ringside and threaten to hit him with the Samoan Spike. Fatu would lock in the Tongan Death Grip on Sikoa, allowing Jimmy to beat a distracted Keys inside the ring.<\/p>\n<p>Fatu would confront Keys and deck him, hitting a Senton on the powerhouse. Stranded on the bottom rope, Fatu was about to hit Sikoa with the Samoan Hip Attack with a chair lodged against his face.
