The WWE Championship will be defended on WWE Raw in what Adam Pearce is calling Championship Monday. Championship Monday Raw takes place in Chicago and could see a major power shift. <\/span><\/p>\n

WWE Raw streams live on Netflix at 8\/7c from the AllState Arena in Chicago, IL. WWE Raw GM Adam Pearce announced all this pretty late (Sunday afternoon) partly as a result of him running double duty as GM of WWE SmackDown<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

But we think it’s largely because he’s too busy watching the Cubs. Pearce announced the following Championship Monday Raw from outside Wrigley Field as he supported the Chicago Cubs against the St Louis Cardinals.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sami Zayn’s First WWE Championship defense<\/h2>\n

WWE must have something massive planned for WWE SummerSlam<\/a> if the company is willing to give us Sami Zayn vs. Cody Rhodes on WWE Raw. Zayn will defend the championship for the first time against the man he pinned to win it.<\/p>\n

But without the benefit of the chaos of a triple-threat match, can Zayn still come out on top? The bigger question is: does this match end clean? If there’s a bigger opponent for Zayn at “the biggest party of the summer”, they may rear their head in Chicago.<\/p>\n

Let’s just quickly say what everyone is thinking … CM Punk. The last time we saw Punk – the day after WWE WrestleMania 42 – he teased a match with Rhodes. WWE SummerSlam would be the perfect place for this dream bout to happen. But does it need the title? Punk could cost Rhodes the gold to set up the match, or he may challenge Rhodes for the title, which would involve him helping Rhodes.<\/p>\n

Championship Monday Raw<\/h2>\n

Championship Monday Raw has a good ring to it. The Street Profits vs. The Vision doesn’t. It appears that championship rematch clauses are a thing because I can’t think of any other reason to put this match on.<\/p>\n

Don’t expect a guaranteed title defense, though. This could be the opportunity for Maxxine Dupri to come good on whatever agreement she has with Austin Theory. Who partners with Theory is unclear. Could be Bron Breakker. It could be a surprise return from injury for Logan Paul. Could be an even more surprising return from injury for Bronson Reed.<\/p>\n

Talking of opportunity. Now is the time for Raquel Rodriguez to get a much-deserved championship. The powerhouse of the Judgment Day has been excellent as of late and earned this match by beating Dupri last week. If Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez come good for their fellow Judgment Day chica, Sol Ruca has no chance of retaining her title.<\/p>\n

Anything Else?<\/h2>\n

Three titles on the line and a catchy subheading of Championship Monday. What else do you want? Oba Femi<\/a> will hype up heading to hell with Brock Lesnar. Heyman might help him hype. Danhausen should do some shinangans.<\/p>\n

Keep an eye out for Chad Gable, as he might be collateral in a very shocking heel turn.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

On the topic of heel turns, we might get our next look at grungy, baddy bird lady Lyra Valkyria.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n
