For indie fans, it was sweet validation finally seeing Su Yung get to appear on a nationally televised promotion. It didn&#8217;t take long for the WWE to notice, and in 2010 she was signed to a developmental deal and sent to work with <strong>Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW)<\/strong>, the precursor to NXT. Renamed <strong>Sonia<\/strong> (after briefly going by Vannah), she joined a class of women recruits that included WWE Superstars like<strong> Naomi, AJ Lee<\/strong> and <strong>Kaitlyn<\/strong>, as well as others who went on to bigger indie careers like Lucha Underground&#8217;s <strong>Catrina<\/strong> and Ring of Honor&#8217;s <strong>Brandi Rhodes<\/strong>. But she was released less than a year later.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-16331\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/f5e9f3e6-bbed-4f2f-bc7a-e8862454cfb1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/f5e9f3e6-bbed-4f2f-bc7a-e8862454cfb1.jpg 600w, https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/f5e9f3e6-bbed-4f2f-bc7a-e8862454cfb1-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>She began to work with promotions like <strong>SHIMMER, SHINE<\/strong> and many others, but after origining debuting as a happier &#8220;normal&#8221; woman, she slowly began to get darker and darker, until her &#8220;Undead Bride&#8221; gimmick began to emerge. She\u2019s grown more each year, appearing for such promotions as <strong>Stardom, Queens of Combat (QOC), Women Superstars Uncensored (WSU), Anarchy Championship Wrestling (ACW), PWX, CWF Mid-Atlantic<\/strong> and many more across North America. She added the UK indie circuit to her travelogue this past year as well, appearing for <strong>Southside Wrestling Entertainment (SWE), Preston City Wrestling (PCW)<\/strong> and <strong>Lucha Forever<\/strong>. She made her Impact debut earlier this year at the January tapings (which are airing now).
