Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has been a fighting champion<\/a> for all of his reign as WWE SmackDown’s top dog. However, his willingness to put the title on the line by any means necessary could end up costing him, as on this week’s Friday Night Fight Night, Gunther laid down the law for their showdown for the Undisputed WWE Title next week in Kansas City, Missouri.<\/p>\n

Gunther Names His Stipulation For Next Week’s WWE SmackDown<\/h2>\n

The “Ring General” went absolutely ballistic on last week’s SmackDown<\/a>, claiming that Rhodes\u00a0cannot<\/em> beat the best professional wrestler in the world in a fair fight. This rant is in relation to the controversial ending at Clash in Italy, wherein Gunther’s leg was clearly under the rope; therefore, the pin shouldn’t have been counted, and the match should have continued.<\/p>\n

Cody agreed with this sentiment and told Nick Aldis that Gunther can have his rematch, anytime, anywhere. Aldis informed Rhodes that Gunther’s legal team reached out to his office and would only take the match if it was under a certain stipulation<\/a> that he and his team laid out. Rhodes didn’t even think about it twice and told Nick Aldis to tell Gunther’s representation to lay out their terms for their upcoming Undisputed WWE Title showdown in the T-Mobile Center in Kansas<\/a> next week.<\/p>\n

During the first hour of the show, Nick Aldis caught up with Gunther, asking if he’s ready with his stipulation, and he is, but he’ll inform him later in the night. That time came, and Gunther had his answer, saying he wants someone who knows the rule book well and would be fair to the bitter end due to his integrity, referring to him as the “last good guy in WWE,” as Gunther revealed that Sami Zayn is his choice<\/a> for the special guest referee for his title match next week.<\/p>\n

This does not spell good news for Cody Rhodes after his heated exchange with Zayn earlier in the night. Rhodes may have walked into Gunther’s trap, but it’s too late, as in Kansas, Rhodes defends the Undisputed WWE Championship against Gunther, with Sami Zayn donning the zebra stripes.<\/p>\n
