Brady Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

AEW has been giving WWE a run for their money ever since their historic AEW Double or Nothing 2026 PPV that dropped the jaws of many wrestling fans.

AEW is now on the road to AEW Forbidden Door 2026, which is a brand warfare between AEW and NJPW. In terms of the Owen Hart Tournament, the finals are set between Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland as well as between Mercedes Mone and Maya World on the women’s side.

The finals of these tournaments are taking place at Forbidden Door, which is scheduled to occur on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at the SAP Center in San Jose, California, competing with NXT Great American Bash and TNA Slammiversary.

In other news, MJF and Mark Briscoe have finally assembled their teams for their major steel cage main event at Forbidden Door. If Mark Briscoe’s team wins, Mark Brisoce will get a shot at MJF’s AEW World Title.

It is quite baffling that everyone on that team is petty enough to see MJF lose the belt that they would fight to assure that Briscoe gets a title opportunity when they essentially get nothing out of it. There is no incentive for them to help Mark Briscoe other than seeing MJF suffer miserably in mere humiliation.

Without further ado, here are the AEW Dynamite Preview and Predictions for June 24, 2026.

Jack Perry vs. Zack Sabre Jr.

This is clearly a warmup match for Zack Sabre Jr. before he battles Kenny Omega at Forbidden Door, so he must win. Jack Perry is fodder here, as he is a sidekick in The Elite. Omega will likely be on commentary to watch this match and study his competition.

Prediction: Zack Sabre Jr.

Swerve Strickland vs. Daniel Garcia

This is also a warmup match for Swerve Strickland before he battles Will Ospreay in the Owen Hart Finals at Forbidden Door, so he must win. Daniel Garcia is also fodder here, as he is a sidekick in The Death Riders. Will Ospreay won’t be on commentary though.

Prediction: Swerve Strickland

Will Ospreay vs. ELP –

He’ll be busy in a match of his own. This is a warmup match for Will Ospreay before he battles Swerve Strickland in the Owen Hart Finals at Forbidden Door, so he must win. However, it is questionable as to why contestants in a tournament need a warmup match.

Prediction: Will Ospreay

Místico/Brodido (Bandido and Brody King) vs. The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta) – Trios Match

Now, this is a a warmup match that makes sense for Jon Moxley and Bandido before they battle for the Continental Classic Title at Forbidden Door. It adds heat to the feud and Death Riders are expected to win since they are the more legitimate, established faction.

Prediction: Death Riders

The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) vs. TMDK (Bad Dude Tito & Mikey Nicholls) – Tag Match

Why are there so many warmup matches? This is also a warmup match for Young Bucks before they battle Sky Team and Unbound Co. at Forbidden Door. They will obviously win or else they will look stupid with zero momentum going into that match on Sunday.

Prediction: Young Bucks

Konosuke Takeshita (c) vs. Ricochet – AEW International Championship

Finally, there is a title match that the fans can anticipate. Since Takeshita just won the title from Kazuchika Okada at AEW Double or Nothing, it is unlikely he will lose the title to Ricochet here. He will also need the momentum for Team Briscoe at Forbidden Door.

Prediction: Konosuke Takeshita

Queen Aminata vs. Red Velvet – Survival of the Fittest Qualifier

After Willow Nightingale relinquished the TBS Title, AEW brought back the ROH-inspired Survival of the Fittest Match to determine the new TBS Champion. Red Velvet is long overdue for a push in the mid card after being ROH Champion, so she should win.

Prediction: Red Velvet

Harley Cameron vs. Marina Shafir – Survival of the Fittest Qualifier

Like Queen Aminata, Marina Shafir has ample momentum to be seen as a threat in this contest, especially since she is featured heavily on TV with the Death Riders. But, Harley Cameron needs to win the TBS Title for her Babes of Wrath bestie, Willow Nightingale.

Prediction: Harley Cameron

AEW Dynamite Preview (6/24/26) – Matches & Segments Announced:

A Trios Match advertised for the June 24, 2026 episode of AEW Dynamite.
