Siegel Center in Richmond, VA, after a special three-hour event, airing both AEW Dynamite and Collision in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

On that special episode, Chris Jericho defeated Ricochet in a singles match to officially put an end to their feud and was heinously attacked by Tommaso Ciampa after the match. Since that attack was quite random, Ciampa will have to explain why he attacked Jericho in what should be a highly anticipated feud.

Another attack that was quite random but a tad more understandable occurred during Adam Copeland and Christian Cage’s celebration of their tag title win at AEW Double or Nothing.

As soon as they distributed cameras to the fans in the front row and were about to do a 5-second pose with flash photography, the Dogs of War attacked them. Since Cope and Cage have the tag titles, they will have big red targets on their back. This was a more validated attack, as Dogs of War is an established team that wants those tag titles.

Speaking of tag titles, TayJay confronted Divine Dominion on the Buy In for AEW Double or Nothing to target the tag titles. They did not follow through on that yet, so hopefully they do so this week. Overall, the women’s division has lacked sufficient storyline direction due to injuries, hiatuses, and absentee management. While MJF has title opponents lined up like ducks in a row, Thekla is sitting backstage like a silly goose and merely waiting for the Owen Hart Winner without anything important to do in the interim.

Unlike Thekla, Konosuke Takeshita is a champion in the mid-card who actually has a storyline going for him with the returning Kyle Fletcher of the Don Callis Family. After getting kicked out of the family by Fletcher and Okada, Takeshita cunningly recruited Orange Cassidy, Mark Briscoe, and The Undisputed Era of The Conglomeration to even the numbers game.

Since all men have common enemies in the Don Callis Family, this also sets up a future trios title match down the line, killing “three birds” with one stone.

This week on AEW Dynamite, there are four matches scheduled: MJF (c) vs. RUSH for the AEW World Title, Kevin Knight (c) vs. Speedball Mike Bailey for the TNT Title, Will Ospreay vs. Mark Davis in the Owen Hart Semifinals, and Alex Windsor vs. Wild Card in the Owen Hart Quarterfinals.

The wild card is the biggest talk of the town, as AEW has kept it a mystery since Willow Nightingale got injured. Could it be Mercedes Mone? Could it be Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.? Could it be Dakota Kai? Or, could it be Kris Statlander?

Alex Windsor vs. Wild Card – Owen Hart Quarterfinals

Kris Statlander defeated Hikaru Shida in a Philly Street Fight with assistance from Harley Cameron after they had some dissension in their fatal four-way AEW World Title Match against Thekla and Jamie Hayter at AEW Double or Nothing 2026.

The fact that Harley Cameron is Willow Nightingale’s Babes of Wrath tag partner and helped Statlander win that match subtly planted seeds for her to replace Willow in this tournament, especially since Statlander is a former World Champ who wants to win her title back from Thekla.

Dakota Kai always wanted to face Willow if she signs with AEW, so replacing her in this tournament would be a clever way to plant seeds for that feud whenever Willow returns. Britt Baker could be the wild card since Alex Windsor is teaming with her best friend, Jamie Hater, setting up beef that could be stirred.

Mercedes Mone could even replace Willow since Willow dethroned her for the TBS Title before she went on hiatus. However, Baker and Mercedes already won the Owen Hart, and AEW will go with something fresh.

Prediction: Kris Statlander

Will Ospreay vs. Mark Davis – Owen Hart Semifinals

After Mark Davis defeated Jack Perry in a National Title rematch from Fairway to Hell, he will take a trip down memory lane with his United Empire pal. In order to solidify the Death Riders storyline, Will Ospreay must win, especially after gaining respect from Jon Moxley and PAC due to being the one to make his opponent tap out in their trios victory against the Rascalz.

Despite Kenny Omega’s amicable warning to Ospreay, it looks like his training with Death Riders is paying off and turning him into a more lethal assassin.

On the other side of the bracket, Brody King defeated Claudio Castagnoli of the Death Riders to advance to the semifinals. He will battle Swerve Strickland in the semifinals next week on AEW Dynamite.

Ospreay will either take down Brody King in the finals for eliminating his Death Riders ally from the tournament or redeem himself in an AEW Forbidden Door 2024 rematch against Swerve Strickland, with whom Ospreay went to a 30-minute draw in 2025 and even teamed with against Young Bucks at All In last year.

Prediction: Will Ospreay

Kevin Knight (c) vs. Speedball Mike Bailey – TNT Title Match

After Kevin Knight’s jaw-dropping heel turn in the finale of AEW Double or Nothing 2026, Speedball Mike Bailey decided to talk some sense into him since he is his tag partner in a tag team known as JetSpeed. Speedball wanted Knight to apologize for Frog Splashing Darby Allin while he was on a stretcher after his brutal World Title match against MJF. Knight refused to apologize and attacked his best friend with no remorse.

Clearly, this garnered some heel heat for Knight in his nascent singles run that no longer needs this team.

After winning the vacated TNT Title in a 10-man Casino Gauntlet at AEW Dynasty, Knight focused on his own self-interests without any further consideration of his tag team with Speedball. Now, they can finally settle this tension with a title match.

Knight will retain to solidify his heel turn, as he still has a title match lingering with Darby Allin in the future. Knight still has to explain his actions, and Darby Allin could very well seek a consolation prize and target Knight’s TNT Title for revenge. Speedball will be Marty Jannetty-ied.

Prediction: Kevin Knight

MJF (c) vs. RUSH – AEW World Title Match

That feud between Kevin Knight and Speedball Mike Bailey is very similar to the 2009-2010 WWE feud between John Morrison and The Miz, in which the less talented heel won the feud and became more successful than the uber-talented babyface.

Speaking of Miz, the “less famous Miz,” MJF, just won the belt back from Darby Allin and will easily retain against anyone he defends against on these weekly shows. Darby Allin was treating the world title like a mid-card title with open challenges, but MJF will defend more sparingly.

Unfortunately, for RUSH, he is the first victim after defeating Orange Cassidy, Brian Cage, and Lio Rush in a Superstation Fatal Four Way, thanks to a Jake Doyle return. Mark Briscoe is next after interrupting MJF’s celebration, and Andrade is not too far behind after defeating Ace Austin and beefing with MJF on Twitter months ago.

An official AEW Dynamite graphic featuring AEW World Champion MJF and RUSH.
