For over a year now, WWE fans have\u00a0witnessed\u00a0the rise of \u201cThe Original\u201d El Grande Americano. Played by Chad Gable, he has entertained crowds with his antics and wrestling ability. But when he\u00a0was out\u00a0injured last summer, a replacement<\/a> soon arrived. Ludwig Kaiser took over the role and made the character a hit in Mexico, and even provided huge additions with Rayo and Bravo. <\/span><\/p>\n

When Gable returned\u00a0at\u00a0the Royal Rumble this year, the two clashed and have been at odds ever since. <\/span>They have a mask vs.\u00a0mask match at AAA Noche\u00a0de Los Grandes\u00a0next Saturday. <\/span><\/p>\n

However, they\u00a0haven\u2019t\u00a0been alone, as they each have two henchmen beside them. \u201cThe Original\u201d has Brutus and Julius Creed. Americano has Bravo and Rayo Americano, played by Pete Dunne and Tyler\u00a0Bate\u00a0under masks. The\u00a0four men\u00a0have helped the\u00a0two Americanos both\u00a0in\u00a0their\u00a0matches and against each other over the last several months.\u00a0If\u00a0Americano\u00a0is forced to remove his mask,\u00a0should\u00a0Bravo and Rayo\u2019s masks come off as well?\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bravo and Rayo\u00a0Have Helped\u00a0Americano\u00a0Maintain\u00a0Popularity<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

If the whole storyline just revolved around the two Americanos, things might still be as good as they are\u2014two great wrestlers bringing storylines across countries in AAA and Monday Night Raw. Next Saturday\u2019s match will be exciting to watch. But the addition of the four henchmen has really made the storyline fun. They\u2019re constantly fighting<\/a> with each other and interfering in matches to help their chosen Americano win. <\/span><\/p>\n

The ending<\/a> of the May 16,\u00a02026\u00a0episode of Lucha Libre AAA really showed how big their roles are.\u00a0After brawling, Brutus and Julius tried to unmask Bravo, but\u00a0Americano\u00a0and Rayo were there to stop them.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0a good\u00a0thing\u00a0he\u00a0wasn\u2019t\u00a0unmasked.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He and Rayo add so much to Americano\u2019s presentation every time he walks to the ring. They dance and have fun, adding flair to their entrance, which could be a huge reason why they have maintained immense popularity. Unmasking them would ruin a good act and tag team.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bate and Dunne Could Benefit from an Unmasking<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

The men underneath the Bravo and Rayo\u00a0masks\u00a0weren\u2019t\u00a0just randomly paired up. Along with Trent Seven, Bate and Dunne traveled the United Kingdom independent circuit for years at British Strong Style.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All three of them went to NXT UK, with Bate and Seven having\u00a0huge success\u00a0as Mustache Mountain. When NXT UK closed and\u00a0Seven\u00a0got released, Bate and Dunne\u00a0formed New Catch Republic. They had some main roster success before Bate\u00a0was injured for\u00a0nearly a\u00a0year.<\/span><\/p>\n

He came back last March, they had some matches on\u00a0Main\u00a0Event, and\u00a0then became Los Americanos<\/a>. Unmasking them will actually help their WWE careers. If people see Bate and Dunne as the men behind Los Americanos the whole time, they\u2019ll realize how talented they truly are. <\/span><\/p>\n

With many tag teams being released over the past few weeks, a New Catch Republic or perhaps Imperium revival could bring them huge success as themselves. Instead of hiding behind masks, they can unmask big opportunities.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What Will Happen if \u201cThe Original\u201d Prevails?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

The mask vs. mask match will be\u00a0very exciting\u00a0for the competitors and the fans. Only one man will walk out with a mask on.\u00a0If Americano wins, Gable will be revealed, and American Made will properly reform. But if \u201cThe Original\u201d wins, things will get tricky. With the stipulation, Bravo and Rayo\u2019s futures are unclear.\u00a0Leaving them masked could extend their storyline, as well as\u00a0creating a way to continue on Americano\u2019s legacy when he becomes Kaiser again.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But underneath the masks are Bate and Dunne, two great wrestlers who haven\u2019t gotten the respect they deserve on the main roster yet. Unmasking them could give them popularity and potential title opportunities, as well as give new fans a look into their careers before this storyline. <\/span><\/p>\n

There\u2019s no word on whether or not Bravo and Rayo will be unmasked as well if Americano loses. But this storyline has given Bate and Dunne a chance to shine as great wrestlers.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
