WWE Backlash 2026 in Tampa, Florida<\/a>, just got a whole lot bigger as United States Champion Trick Williams put on his Lemon Pepper Steppers and stomped out Sami Zayn on the latest edition of WWE SmackDown<\/a>. Zayn was airing his grievances that he felt extremely disrespected, and could not get the hype of Trick Williams. Zayn would release his pent up aggression on Gingy the Gingerbread Man, before Trick Williams ran into the ring and clobbered him out of the arena.<\/p>\n

Dogging the Underdog of the Underground at WWE Backlash<\/h2>\n

It seems like Trick also felt disrespected by Zayn, and backstage with Cathy Kelley catching up with U.S. Champion, the “Anointed One” made it clear, if Sami Zayn wants him, he can come and get him, as Williams said Zayn has got his United States Championship rematch after losing at WrestleMania 42. Trick Williams has been absolutely amazing since arriving on the main roster.<\/p>\n

Trick has always been amazing, considering he’s a former multiple-time NXT Champion, as well as a TNA World Champion. The United States Champion, while prestigious, is just another stepping stone to a career that more than likely leads to one of WWE’s biggest prizes sooner rather than later.<\/p>\n

Sami Zayn is resentful because he’s come so close to becoming World Champion, and yet, he’s come up short time and again. Now that Trick is on SmackDown and has been absolutely excelling, Zayn may see him as another threat that just waltzed into his domain, taking opportunities he felt like were owed to him after years of service.<\/p>\n

Williams isn’t about that life, and now, Zayn has poked the bear way too much. Trick is looking to absolutely whoop him, while Zayn wants to reinforce that Trick is not worth all the hype.<\/p>\n

Regardless, WWE Backlash 2026 in Tampa, Florida, will have another huge match as Trick Williams defends the United States Championship against Sami Zayn.
