{"id":16070,"date":"2018-03-25T19:20:24","date_gmt":"2018-03-25T23:20:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/?p=16070"},"modified":"2018-03-25T19:20:24","modified_gmt":"2018-03-25T23:20:24","slug":"andnew-kento-miyahara-wins-the-triple-crown-championship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2018\/03\/25\/andnew-kento-miyahara-wins-the-triple-crown-championship\/","title":{"rendered":"#AndNEW: Kento Miyahara Wins All Japan Triple Crown Championship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW)\u00a0<\/strong>made a big splash in their very first show since launching their new streaming service.\u00a0 The main event of\u00a0Triple Crown Champion\u00a0<strong>Joe Doering\u00a0<\/strong>vs\u00a0<strong>Kento Miyahara\u00a0<\/strong>was mouth watering, as it was the chance to see Miyahara win the gold once again.\u00a0 Doering has long been a fantastic wrestler and has the miracle story to make him a hero and his reign\u00a0continued the momentum that All Japan has had in it&#8217;s recent revival.\u00a0 What any AJPW fan expected is what we got.\u00a0 These two men lived up to the billing of Puroresu with Miyahara&#8217;s beautiful knee strikes on full display.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Kento Miyahara is the new AJPW Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion! <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/ajpw?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#ajpw<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Ivt90mpske\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pic.twitter.com\/Ivt90mpske<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Sev (@allmashu) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/allmashu\/status\/977852852738682881?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">March 25, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>That revival was caused solely by one man &#8211; the Ace of All Japan, Kento Miyahara.\u00a0 Arguably the second best wrestler in the world behind only\u00a0<strong>Kazuchika Okada<\/strong>, both in match quality and in drawing ability, Miyahara&#8217;s 464 day reign as champion saw the critical view of All Japan change for the better.\u00a0 It also proved to be good for business,s as average attendances almost tripled.\u00a0 With AJPW launching it&#8217;s streaming service and making\u00a0<strong><em>Champions Carnival<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>(similar to the G1) a key draw, putting the belt in a 5-star match maker and a proven draw is a great decision.\u00a0 The fact that Miyahara has had great matches with all the favorites of the Carnival and is a participant in a stacked group.\u00a0 Miyahara&#8217;s group A features\u00a0<strong>Shuji Ishikawa, Shingo Takagi\u00a0<\/strong>from\u00a0<strong>Dragon Gate\u00a0<\/strong>and of course Doering.
