At WrestleMania 42, we saw the beloved Paige return to a WWE ring alongside Brie Bella. It was supposed to be a big night for Nikki and Brie Bella as they challenged the teams of Nia Jax and Lash Legend, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, and Bayley and Lyra Valkyria for the WWE Women\u2019s Tag Team Championships. However, Nikki Bella sustained an ankle injury, keeping her out of action on the biggest day of the year for wrestling.<\/p>\n

Prior to WrestleMania 42, rumors were circling of Paige making a return<\/a> as she was in town for signings. It was confirmed when her music blared through the stadium’s speakers, and fans rose to their feet.<\/p>\n

Newer wrestling fans may be unaware of the fact that Paige and the Bella Twins go back 11 years. Seeing these three back in the ring together is big for many fans because it is nostalgic and something they truly didn\u2019t think would happen again.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a look at the 11-year history of Paige, Nikki, and Brie Bella for fans who are unaware and for those who want to reminisce.<\/p>\n

Beginning in 2014<\/h2>\n

Let’s take it back to April 2014, the Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania 30 is where it all began. Paige was thrown into the big leagues and dethroned the longest reigning Divas Champion, AJ Lee. Now at the top of the roster, she would be facing those at the top.<\/p>\n

Paige would have memorable feuds and partnerships with AJ Lee and Natalya. By April of 2014, Paige would be competing against Brie Bella on WWE TV. That is the beginning of the on-screen relationship with Paige and the Bella Twins. Matches between Paige and the Bellas would continue from there.<\/p>\n

At Night of Champions 2014, AJ Lee defeated both Paige and Nikki Bella in a triple threat match for the Divas Championship. Those three women had a long, intense feud, each defending the championship against the others. But the fans loved every part of it.<\/p>\n

The feuds that these women had with one another were a year-long buildup to what is arguably one of the most memorable women\u2019s matches at WrestleMania.<\/p>\n

WrestleMania 31<\/h2>\n

The women\u2019s match at WrestleMania 31 was one that was huge for women\u2019s wrestling. The feud between these women got fans so engaged that it forced the upcoming divas’ revolution turned evolution. By the following WrestleMania, the WWE Women\u2019s Championship was being introduced to the audience.<\/p>\n

Many fans have referred to The Bella Twins, Paige, and AJ Lee as the original four horsewomen. They are all truly pivotal to the growth of the women\u2019s division and why they are where they are today.<\/p>\n
