At this time, Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga still seem to be with the company.

Goodbye to the Wyatt Sicks

When Windham Rotunda, better known as Bray Wyatt, unfortunately passed away in 2023, WWE opted to bring back his brother, the former Bo Dallas, to help finish Wyatt’s story. Dallas returned under the persona of Uncle Howdy, the leader of the Wyatt Sicks, a group inspired by the characters Wyatt popularized in his firefly funhouse. Only these were not the same cuddly puppets but rather wrestlers taking on the personas of Mercy the Buzzard, Abby the Witch, Ramblin’ Rabbit, and Huskus the Pigboy. Joe Gacy, Nikki Cross, Dexter Lumis, Erick Rowan, and Dallas were the five members of the Wyatt Sicks, debuting in June 2024. The group enjoyed some success early on as the tributes to the late Bray Wyatt certainly helped propel the emotional feel-good story behind the unit. Lumis and Gacy even won the tag team titles.

The Wyatt Sicks debuted in 2024 as a tribute to the late BrayWyatt and remained a presence on both Raw and SmackDown over the next two years. Now, all five have been released at the same time. Credit: WWE

Sadly, WWE seemed to run out of ideas as it related to the Wyatts, relegating the spooky group to a never-ending feud with the MFTs over the very lantern that Wyatt used to accompany him to the ring. In the end, the MFTs emerged victorious in the battle, seemingly putting an end to the Wyatt Sicks, or at the very least raising the question of where the group could go from here. Turns out where they’ll be going is their separate ways. On Friday, it was announced that the entirety of the group was being released from the company.

The Wyatt Sicks leave WWE with a ton of accolades under their belts during their own individual careers as well as their time together.

Bo Dallas was in his second run with WWE, with the first seeing him join the company’s developmental circuit in 2008. From 2008 – 19, Dallas wrestled across NXT and the main roster. He was the third-ever NXT Champion, holding the belt for 280 days. He is also a former 24/7 Champion and tag team champion alongside Curtis Axel.

An indie wrestler since 2008, Nikki Cross was the longest-tenured member of the family, having been with WWE for a decade. During that time, Cross was a 10x 24/7 Champion, a 3x women’s tag team champion, and a former Raw Women’s Champion.

Erick Rowan, also in his second tour of duty with WWE, first joined the company after working the indies in 2011 with Florida Championship Wrestling, the precursor to NXT. As FCW transitioned to NXT, that is where the original incarnation of the Wyatt Family was born. Rowan began teaming with Bray Wyatt and the late Luke Harper in 2012, with the trio bringing their act to the main roster a year later. Rowan’s first run, which ended in 2020, saw him win the tag titles 3x. After working the indies, he returned to WWE in 2024 to join the Wyatt Sicks as a tribute to his fallen friend.

Dexter Lumis came to WWE after a 12-year career across the indies, primarily with TNA. He joined NXT in 2019 and, a year later, did some of his best work alongside Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell, and Austin Theory in The Way. Lumis was chosen to join the new Wyatt group in 2024, where he won his first gold in the company, the WWE Tag Team Championship, alongside Joe Gacy, whose own journey to WWE was not unlike Lumis. Gacy debuted on the indies in 2006, quickly becoming a mainstay in the hardcore scene with Combat Zone Wrestling, where he remained through 2018. In 2021, Gacy finally made it to WWE when he joined the NXT roster. From 2022-23, Gacy led the Schism alongside Ava before transitioning to the main roster as a member of the Wyatt Sicks.

Other Departures

Zoey Stark

Alba Fyre

Motor City Machine Guns

Kairi Sane

Santos Escobar

Apollo Crews

Aleister Black

Zelina Vega

See page two for the full list of NXT/Evolve/LFG releases.

NXT/Evolve/LFG Releases

Andre Chase – Andre Chase posted a video on X announcing his time with WWE was done, and he’d be available for bookings starting in June. Chase, of course, was known in NXT as the leader of Chase U. While he never made it to the main roster during his run with the company, Chase was a two-time tag team champion, once alongside Ridge Holland and once alongside Duke Hudson, who himself was released last year. Chase was a longtime indie wrestler, having debuted in 2007 and wrestled for companies such as Ring of Honor, Pro Wrestling NOAH, and Evolve, both before and after it was under WWE’s umbrella. Chase’s final match was a televised bout in January 2026.

Dante Chen – Known for his time on Evolve and NXT Level Up, Chen was WWE’s first-ever superstar born in Singapore. An indie wrestler since 2013, Chen joined WWE in 2021, wrestling for the company for just under five years. During his time in WWE, in addition to NXT, Chen took part in matches with TNA through the TNA/NXT partnership. His last match came in March 2026

Tyra Mae Steele – An Olympic gold medalist in the women’s 68kg amateur wrestling event from the 2020 Tokyo Games, Tamyra Mensah-Stock joined WWE in 2023. She went on to win the first season of WWE LFG in 2025, at which point she began appearing on NXT and later WWE Evolve. Her final match was in March, where she took part in a gauntlet match for the Evolve Women’s Championship, won by Wendy Choo.

Sirena Linton – An NCAA All-American in gymnastics, Sirena Linton took part in seasons 1-3 of WWE LFG. She wrestled a total of 24 matches for WWE, primarily in LFG and on the NXT live event circuit.

High Ryze (Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe) – Signing to WWE in 2023, High Ryze was briefly aligned with Wes Lee, though they are most known for their time in NXT Level Up. The two also competed in NXT and represented the NXT Outlaws team during a feud that took place across NXT and TNA in 2025. Dupont is a Haitian-born wrestler, whereas Igwe is from New York. The two wrestled their last matches, singles matches, in March. Their last tag team match came in December 2025.

Trill London – When WWE trademarked a bunch of names in 2025, Jordynne Grace joked that if her name were to be changed, Trill London was the one she wanted. As it would turn out, Trill London was given to Atrilleon ‘Trill’ Williams, who signed with the WWEID program, making his debut with Evolve in 2025. The former collegiate and pro football player, London, took part in seasons 2-3 of LFG in addition to his work on Evolve and the NXT live event circuit. He wrestled his last match in February.

Chris Island – Chris Island debuted in WWE in 2024, taking part in LFG season 3. He also worked the NXT live event circuit. His last match was the Christmas Rumble, which took place at a live event in Florida in December 2025. Before that, Island competed on NXT once, in a #1 contendership battle royal for the NXT Championship, which was won by Myles Borne.

Malik Blade – Of the NXT and developmental releases from Friday, Malik Blade was one of the few who didn’t come to WWE primarily as a former collegiate or pro athlete. Blade was an indie wrestler, having wrestled his first match in 2018. He debuted in WWE in 2021 as part of the original group of NXT 2.0 wrestlers. Aligned with Edris Enofe, Blade was a regular fixture on NXT through 2024. He even wrestled a few matches on WWE Main Event. After he and Enofe split, however, TV time was harder to come by. He wrestled just five matches between 2025-26, his final bout coming in February.

Luca Crusifino – Thrust into the spotlight as a member of the D’Angelo Family, Luca Crusifino joined WWE in 2022 and debuted in 2023. He wrestled on NXT Level Up and across the live event circuit for much of his first year before aligning with Tony D’Angelo’s group. Crusifino then became a regular on NXT, even challenging for the tag team titles and NXT North American Championship on several occasions. The dissolution of the D’Angelo Family left its former Consigliere with not much to do. His final match came on Evolve in March.

As has become somewhat of their version of the NFL’s Black Monday, WWE announced prior to SmackDown on Friday a slew of releases and roster cuts, including some names that have spent the better part of the last few years eating up TV time.
