He picked Arianna Grace, daughter of Santino Marella, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, Grace’s fiancé, and Uriah Connors, son of Fit Finlay, to join him. On the March 10, 2026 episode of NXT, Charlie Dempsey joined them. Dempsey, the son of William Regal, betrayed former No Quarter Catch Crew stablemate Tavion Heights and aligned with them.

Together, they formed Birthright, and on April 21, NXT, they had a chance to make an impact on the brand. King was in the NXT Speed Championship tournament finals after Elio LeFleur had to vacate the championship due to injury. He beat EK Prosper for the title, becoming NXT Speed Champion. With this win, it seems that Birthright is starting to become a stable to watch for many fans.

King’s Win Helps Birthright Gain Legitimacy

Putting together a group of second-generation wrestlers sounds like a great idea on paper. But until they work together in and out of the ring, the results are hard to predict. Up until Tuesday, things weren’t going well. Los Americanos defeated Connors and Stacks, losing a chance to face the Vanity Project at Stand & Deliver. However, all of them ended up on the preshow, where they lost in a five-person mixed tag team match.

Things were looking down, so King had to win against Prosper in order for them not to become a laughing stock. You can be a second or third-generation wrestler, but that doesn’t matter if you don’t perform well in the ring. A loss would’ve destroyed everyone’s belief in Birthright. But King won and became the NXT Speed Champion, an accomplishment that helps fans’ perception of the faction.

The Win Could Inspire the Other Members

King is getting another moment to shine in NXT after a 118-day run as NXT Heritage Cup Champion from December 2024 until April 2025. That’s great for him, but where does that leave the other second-generation faction members? The win should inspire all of them to go after bigger feuds and titles.

An NXT graphic advertising the Men’s Speed Championship Tournament. Grace and Stacks should use their TNA Championship experience to challenge for NXT titles.

If they at least go after bigger opportunities, fans will get behind the faction as a serious entity. Winning would be an even larger bonus, but just being in championship matches will help everyone involved. Doing that will get them out of their parents’ shadows as purely second-generation wrestlers and make them their own people.

Will He Help Birthright in the Long Run?

Even though King is the NXT Speed Champion, the title is pretty low on the list of NXT titles in terms of notoriety. Speed matches are contested in three minutes, with championship matches going five minutes. A lot of people dismiss the championship due to that, but it is still a championship. He could use his win to his advantage, though. Having a long reign will help him gain more opportunities on NXT and instill confidence in his stablemates.

Before the victory, the perception and results for Birthright were very low. Having King win is a step in the right direction for the faction. If the victory inspires the rest of the faction, they can get championship opportunities and titles of their own. This win may not seem like much, but it can be the first step to Birthright becoming a faction that fans take seriously.

Over the past couple of months, Lexis King has assembled a nice group of second-generation wrestlers to form a faction with.
