It\u2019s also a chance to look at two amazing cards, and an opening night that could go down as one of the best in company history.<\/p>\n
Night One of WrestleMania boasts an incredible card. Four major championships highlight a card that also boasts a highly anticipated Unsanctioned Match and a thrown-together contest that could steal the show in Las Vegas. A lot is on the line for everyone headed into the first night of WrestleMania, and there is a ton of ambiguity surrounding each match. Who will etch their names into the annals of WrestleMania history? Only a handful can boast of having a victory at WrestleMania, and we are going to take a crack at predicting those winners.<\/p>\n
This match can go down as one of those where no one really cares. Not many matches on either night of WrestleMania can be classified as a thrown-together mess, except for this one. Before injuries riddled the Visions’ ranks, there may have been another idea here.<\/p>\n
WWE has done an admirable job of sparking interest in this tag match by adding world-famous streamer iShowSpeed. He may not be palatable for every wrestling fan, but he brings in a new fan base, and the hardcore fans will enjoy watching him get his butt handed to him at WrestleMania.<\/p>\n
There is enough talent in this match to make the contest entertaining. We can assume that some crazy spot will be discussed to make this 6-man tag memorable. The audience isn\u2019t as invested in this match as others on the card, so WWE will have to pull something special out to make this tag match stand out.<\/p>\n
Between that and iShowSpeed<\/a> taking a few nasty bumps, this match could be a fun interlude before the more high-profile matches take place. It would also help when iShowSpeed pins someone to take the win home for his team. This won\u2019t be a popular decision, but one that will create a buzz.<\/p>\n Winners: <\/strong>Austin Theory, Logan Paul & iShowSpeed<\/p>\n It has been fun watching WWE weave these four teams together on their way to WrestleMania. The effort put towards building towards WrestleMania for these 8 women shows the importance of the tag straps. There is a reason for each team to be involved in the match, and the animosity has been on display each week. It’s that type of tension that will help to increase excitement around the action taking place on WrestleMania Saturday.<\/p>\n This is going to be a fun match. The professional jealousy shared between these teams has been highlighted, and each woman is desperate to walk out of WrestleMania as a champion. The championship pedigree involved will ensure that we get everyone\u2019s A-Game, and this could sneakily be one of the best matches on Saturday. It\u2019s also an easy one to predict with Nia Jax and Lash Legend<\/a> being the clear favorites. They have just started on their path to tag team glory and need a big win to legitimize their reign. A victory that will come in this match.<\/p>\n Winners<\/strong>: Nia Jax & Lash Legend<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Everything that these two men have touched has turned to gold. McIntyre and Fatu\u2019s issues go back a few months, and in that time, the intensity has increased. Each week, these men have had great pull-apart brawls and promos that work to each man’s strengths. This feels real, and the action has gained steam over the past few weeks.<\/p>\n With what McIntyre and Fatu have already done to one another, we can assume that this Unsanctioned Match is going to ramp everything up to eleven. This is going to be an incredibly violent match that may get uncomfortable near the end.<\/p>\n It\u2019s assumed that Drew McIntyre<\/a> will be taking some time off soon to start filming the Highlander movie. A huge opportunity for the Scot, but also a piece of information that telegraphs the ending to this match. A violent car crash it will be, but one that will probably end with Jacob Fatu putting Drew McIntyre out of action for a while, hopefully with an insane WrestleMania-worthy spot.<\/p>\n Winner: <\/strong>Jacob Fatu<\/p>\n Injuries threw a massive wrench into what this WrestleMania match should have been, but the wrestling world should still feel lucky. Gunther is a great option for Seth Rollins, as it presents a fresh matchup. It has also been a feud that has been handled very well in the few weeks that they have been given.<\/p>\n There isn\u2019t any huge drama between these two men, only a burning desire to prove that they are the best wrestlers on the planet. It\u2019s a fantastic way to add stakes to a match that could be lacking in them.<\/p>\n We all know this has the potential to be among the top ten WrestleMania matches when all is said and done. Seth Rollins and Gunther<\/a> are premier wrestlers and pride themselves on stopping the show.<\/p>\n It will be great to see what kind of magic they can create when they step into the ring. It\u2019s hard to imagine that either man is going to lose, but one has to, and considering there is a Bron Breakker return<\/a> on the horizon, it makes sense to have Gunther go over, with some shady practices going on.<\/p>\n Winner: Gunther<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n This is another match built on months of animosity. AJ Lee returned to WWE to assist her husband in a mixed tag match, but in that contest, she developed a fantastic rivalry with Becky Lynch. We have seen a constant game of one-upmanship between these two greats.<\/p>\n Each match has seen great wrestling, and a want of both to be considered the best. Becky Lynch\u2019s mental instability has leaned towards goofy at times, but WWE has been able to rein this program in, and it will result in an all-time great grudge match.<\/p>\n Picking between Becky Lynch and AJ Lee<\/a> is like choosing between your children. We want to see both women achieve victory here, but only one will have that luxury. Becky Lynch has been fantastic as the heel and could help to elevate a slew of women on the roster. However, AJ Lee is the conquering hero, and it’s hard to see her not winning here.<\/p>\n She has shown great ability since her return, and there are a few dream matches<\/a> that WWE can play with after she retains her Intercontinental Championship.<\/p>\n Winner: <\/strong>AJ Lee<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Women\u2019s World Championship feud hasn\u2019t been given the television time that other programs have had. That hasn\u2019t stopped Vaquer and Morgan from maximizing their time and generating massive buzz around their match.<\/p>\n Liv Morgan has been as unhinged as she ever has, and that brutal beatdown at the hands of Vaquer, which left a massive welt on Morgan\u2019s forehead, was spot on. These women have done everything in their power to make this match mean something, and it should have a high spot on WrestleMania\u2019s card.<\/p>\n Stephanie Vaquer is the newly minted star on the Raw roster. She has been Women\u2019s World Champion for a good amount of time, but if WWE wants to make her the star, she can be. Vaquer needs a marquee win and a lengthy reign.<\/p>\n Retaining her championship at WrestleMania would achieve one of these things and help to lengthen her reign. Plus, Liv Morgan is bulletproof at this point, and a loss at WrestleMania wouldn\u2019t hurt her character that much.<\/p>\n Winner: <\/strong>Stephanie Vaquer<\/p>\n Pat McAfee\u2019s involvement<\/a> in this program has made no one happy. WWE should have been leaning more into the years of history between the former student and teacher. It’s in that tension that this build would have meant something more than the sideshow that it has become.<\/p>\n Luckily, the fans’ reactions and the incredible talents of both Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton have saved this WrestleMania main event from being a lost cause. We still care about what will happen, as long as McAfee stays out of the way and lets the main event guys cook.<\/p>\n The heel turn of Cody Rhodes<\/a> has been teased for a while now, and this might be the time to pull that trigger. However, only in defeat can this occur, with Rhodes throwing a tantrum at the jubilant reaction to his losing the championship.
