A few weeks ago, Seth “Freakin” Rollins and Gunther, two of WWE’s biggest stars, were without a clear direction for WrestleMania 42. Fortunately, Triple H found an effective way of putting both men on the card. On the March 30th episode of RAW in Madison Square Garden, the Ring General viciously assaulted<\/a> Rollins and put him to sleep.<\/p>\n

Although Gunther has ulterior motives for targeting Rollins, the Career Killer’s intervention has saved Paul Heyman from receiving his comeuppance. Nonetheless, as Rollins stated on RAW this past week, Gunther has now made things personal by inserting himself into the Vision storyline.<\/p>\n

While WWE has limited time to build a compelling feud, Rollins vs. Gunther has tremendous potential<\/a>. If given enough time, this could steal the show at WrestleMania 42: Night One.<\/p>\n

Seth “Freakin” Rollins vs. Gunther Might Not Be as Random as It Seems<\/strong><\/h2>\n

At first, it felt as if WWE threw Seth Rollins and Gunther together because both of their rumored opponents were injured and unavailable. However, the decision to pair them might not be random<\/a>, especially if Triple H is thinking long term.<\/p>\n

The Ring General doesn’t do anything without purpose. When he attacked Rollins at MSG, he effectively saved Paul Heyman from a terrible fate. The Oracle was running out of options, and if Gunther hadn’t intervened, Heyman would have been in great trouble. We still have no clear indication of any potential arrangement between Heyman and Gunther.<\/p>\n

Nonetheless, the Hall of Famer does owe the Career Killer a huge favor. Over the last year, Gunther has been on a mission to end careers and destroy legacies. Brock Lesnar could be the next on his list, and the Father of ECW could get him to Lesnar. As for Rollins, the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion stands in his path.<\/p>\n

The Visionary has vowed to destroy Heyman and the Vision. However, he faces an unexpected and difficult challenge in the form of Gunther, who will not go down easily.<\/p>\n
