While Cage won the match, the match was an iconic stepping stone match up for Blanchard. WrestleCircus is back this coming Saturday, March 24 with <em><strong>WrestleCircus Raise The Curtain<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/em>which once again will be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.twitch.tv\/wrestlecircus\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">broadcast live on their Twitch channel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Intergender Tag Match: Gentleman Jervis &amp; Kylie Rae vs. Serpentico &amp; Leva Bates<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15789\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15789\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-15789 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/DYdH6vRVwAAcdTw-e1521428149278.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-15789\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WrestleCircus<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Since departing his home in <strong>CHIKARA<\/strong> in May of 2016, <strong>Jervis Cottonbelly<\/strong> (aka Gentleman Jervis) has found a new ring to hang in with WrestleCircus, where he&#8217;s become one of the promotion&#8217;s most beloved characters. He&#8217;s teaming up with emerging indie star <strong>Kylie Rae<\/strong>, whose only been in the business since 2016. Trained by <strong>ACH<\/strong>, Rae has already broken out with <strong>SHIMMER, SHINE, AAW<\/strong> and others. <strong>Leva Bates<\/strong> is a veteran of the indie circuit, working for the likes of SHIMMER, SHINE, <strong>WSU, Queens of Combat, PROGRESS, wXw<\/strong> and even NXT (where she wrestled as <strong>Blue Pants<\/strong>). She&#8217;s paired up with another longtime indie veteran in <strong>Serpentico<\/strong> (who previously wrestled as <strong>Jon Cruz<\/strong> in <strong>Los Ben Dejos<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<h3><strong>JT Dunn vs. Shane Taylor<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15787\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15787\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-15787 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/DYXHMC-UQAAJ-O_-e1521428220395.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-15787\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WrestleCircus<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>JT Dunn<\/strong> is a 9-year veteran of the indie wars, but the newly crowned<strong> Chaotic Wrestling<\/strong> Champion will have his hands full when he takes on <strong>Ring of Honor<\/strong>&#8216;s reigning mercenary <strong>Shane Taylor<\/strong>. The 28 year old Dunn is only 5&#8217;10&#8217; and 175 lbs. and his opponent stands 6&#8217;1&#8243; and is 350 lbs. of\u00a0power and fury. Taylor recently turned on his <strong>Pretty Boy Killers<\/strong> team mate<strong> Keith Lee<\/strong>, so Taylor is in a particularly bad mood of late. Which may not bode well for Dunn<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Circus Fatal 4-Way: Teddy Hart vs. Andrew Everett vs. Zachary Wentz vs. Myron Reed<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15788\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15788\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-15788 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/DYdMrX6VwAAUdVW-e1521428191245.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-15788\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WrestleCircus<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Teddy Hart<\/strong> and <strong>Andrew Everett<\/strong> are both making their WrestleCircus debuts in this Fatal 4-Way that by all intents and purpose should be a chaotic melee with some fantastic wrestling. Teddy Hart has had a strong comeback the past year, and Andrew Everett has been one of <strong>Impact Wrestling<\/strong>\u2019s stars in the X-Division. <strong>Zachary Wentz<\/strong> is hot off an excursion to <strong>Dragon Gate<\/strong> in Japan and will be hot to show off his stuff in singles action (as he\u2019s also a part of <strong>Scarlet &amp; Graves<\/strong> with <strong>Dezmond Xavier<\/strong>). Add in 20-year old <strong>Myron Reed<\/strong>, a former <strong>Glory Pro<\/strong> Crown of Glory Champion only three years into the business, and this has all the potential to steal the show.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Big Top Tag Team Championship: Extra Talented (Aaron Solow &amp; Ricky Sparks) (c) vs. The Dirty Devils (&#8220;Dirty&#8221; Andy Dalton &amp; &#8220;Unholy&#8221; Gregory James) w\/ The Insidious Follower<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15790\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15790\" style=\"width: 602px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-15790 \" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/Screen-Shot-2018-03-18-at-10.59.41-PM-e1521428484427.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"602\" height=\"319\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-15790\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WrestleCircus<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The team of<strong> Aaron Solow<\/strong> and <strong>Ricky Sparks<\/strong>, collectively known as <strong>Extra Talented<\/strong>, have been WrestleCircus Tag Team Champions since last October, when they defeated Scarlet &amp; Graves for the titles at <em><strong>CircusMania<\/strong><\/em>. This Saturday will be their first title defense since the hiatus and they\u2019re facing two wild men who hope to shut down Extra Talented\u2019s athleticsm with animal rage. <strong>The Dirty Devils<\/strong> is a newer duo featuring long time indie veteran <strong>\u201cDirty\u201d Andy Dalton<\/strong> and <strong>Anarchy Championship Wrestling<\/strong>\u2019s <strong>Gregory James<\/strong>, who hope to claim WrestleCircus gold this Saturday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3><strong>Sideshow Championship #1 Contenders Match: MASADA vs. Jordan Len-X<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-15791 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/DXQBYbSUMAUq4PT-e1521428515985.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"323\"><\/p>\n<p>36-year old Texas native <strong>MASADA<\/strong> has made a 16-year career out of hurting people. And not just hurting people, but hurting them badly. He popularized the spot where wooden skewers are driven into people\u2019s heads and became one of the hardcore icons of the 2000s. MASADA just made his WrestleCircus debut last month in a Death Match victory over <strong>Brody King<\/strong>, and now he turns his attention to one of WrestleCircus\u2019 regular stars in<strong> Jordan Len-X<\/strong>. While Jordan is no stranger to rougher matches himself, MASADA will definitely prove to be one of his toughest challenges to date.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Rey Fenix vs. Dezmond Xavier<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15793\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15793\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-15793 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/DXQBPZAU8AAkXiX-e1521428542361.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"323\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-15793\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WrestleCircus<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Not only is this capable of being Match of the Night, but it could also contend for Match of the Year. Dezmond Xavier was one of 2017\u2019s break out stars, winning the WrestleCircus Sideshow Championship and Impact Wrestling\u2019s <strong>Super X Cup<\/strong> in singles action, as well as the AAW Tag Team Titles and CZW Tag Team Titles (twice!) as part of Scarlet &amp; Graves with Zachary Wentz. He\u2019s facing a familiar face from his battles in AAW in Mexican superstar <strong>Rey Fenix<\/strong>, who gained national attention as part of his work with <strong>Lucha Underground<\/strong>, where he\u2019s a former LU Champion. This will be some incredible aerial athleticism and it\u2019s going to come down to guts and stamina.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Lady of the Ring Championship: Tessa Blanchard (c) vs. Chelsea Green<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15792\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15792\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-15792 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/DXQBLM0VMAAbVrL-e1521428600651.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"323\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-15792\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WrestleCircus<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Tessa Blanchard is coming off the match of her career at WrestleCircus\u2019 <em>The Show Must Go On<\/em> last month, where she faced off against Brian Cage in an absolute classic. This time she\u2019s got her Lady of the Ring Championship on the line as she faces new #1 Contender<strong> Chelsea Green<\/strong>. Green won the #1 Contendership last month, defeating <strong>Deonna Purrazzo<\/strong>, Leva Bates and <strong>Christi Jaynes<\/strong> in a Fatal 4-Way. The wild card in the match is Chelsea Green\u2019s \u201chot mess\u201d alter ego, former Impact Knockouts Champion <strong>Laurel Van Ness<\/strong>. In the Fatal 4-Way last month, Green was knocked out of the match temporarily, but returned as a disheveled Van Ness to score the victory. Both are two of the top indie stars in the country and regardless if LVN makes an appearance or not, expect nothing but another outing from both women.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Penta El OM vs. Shane Strickland<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15794\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15794\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-15794 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/WrestleCircus-Shane-Strickland-Pentagon-Jr-e1521428574565.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"346\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-15794\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WrestleCircus<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Yet <em>another <\/em>potential Match of the Year candidate, the main event features a first time singles match between two of Lucha Underground\u2019s biggest stars. By the end of Season Three, <strong>Penta El Zero M<\/strong> (as Pentagon Jr.) was holding the Lucha Underground Championship, while <strong>Shane Strickland<\/strong>\u2019s LU alter ego of <strong>Killshot<\/strong> was newly crowned LU Trios Champion (alongside <strong>AR Fox<\/strong> and <strong>Willie Mack<\/strong>). Both have been tearing up the indie scene around the world for the last year and it\u2019s surprising they\u2019ve never met up yet.
