The stars kept shining, and some of them made the best of the month. I had a blast with AEW Dynamites and AEW Collisions. AEW Revolution also left me with a great time. But something was off, compared to February. I wasn’t left hyped the way I had been. There wasn’t too much going on that I disliked. Mystifyingly, it seemed I might’ve placed my expectations a tad drastically high.

Regardless, March did a swell job in what it needed to do: put on a great Revolution that could bleed into AEW Dynasty. I might be questioning the build of the Continental Championship match headed into Dynasty. Why is Will Ospreay so damaged still, yet seemingly indestructible enough to move past a ruthless PAC?

Is Jon Moxley still teetering between babyface and heel? Whatever. I want to focus on the positives, so here are the best of the best within AEW in March 2026.

Honorable Mentions

Kyle Fletcher had good TNT defense over Mike Bailey and Robbie Eagles, and a tag win with Mark Davis over The Rascalz. He, Davis, and Kazuchika Okada won the trios titles from Jet Set Rodeo but lost them to JetSpeed + Mistico. JetSpeed’s Speedball Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight reaped the success of this, but also separately enjoyed victories over Mark Davis and El Clon, respectively. Unfortunately for JetSpeed, they did lose their title opportunities against MJF in singles competition.

Tommaso Ciampa may have lost to Daniel Garcia on March 7, but he rebounded with a trios victory with FTR over Mark Briscoe and the Young Bucks. After losing in the AEW Revolution 21 Man Blackjack Battle Royal, Ciampa continued a very brief feud with the creepy Lio Rush, which he won on the March 22 Collision. He continued his Collision winning ways on the 28th when he beat Ace Austin.

The selfie magnet himself, Andrade El Idolo, also charged into March with some wins. Despite heavy confusion with Don Callis inserting him into matches, Idolo, though he had only two AEW matches, did lose an IWGP Heavyweight title match at NJPW The New Beginning USA 2026 to champion Yota Tsuji. Still, his victory over Mascara Dorada kept him in the main event picture. Taking on Bandido at AEW Revolution not only reinforced that, but put on a banger, even though they lost most of their clothes in the chaos.

Jack Perry

Someone who also had scarce active competition in March, Jack Perry’s momentum into St. Patrick’s favorite month reaped title gold. Dethroning Ricochet in an AEW National Title 21 Man Blackjack Battle Royal at AEW Revolution 2026, Perry eliminated 18 other men. Now the second person to carry the National glory, Perry has entertained all the way through April.

He has yet to defend his National Championship, however. Casting that criticism aside, his next match, a trios, gave a Fresno, California crowd something to chew on. Uniting with the Young Bucks against RPG Vice (Rocky Romero & Trent Beretta) and Kazuchika Okada, all six men gave a frenzy that felt akin to a classic PWG match.

As of April, he’s been aligned with Brody King, Bandido, and Darby Allin. I’m crossing my fingers that he’s not an April Fool and he puts on more National title defenses.

Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne & Lena Kross)

Since her debut in February, the stature of Lena Kross came as a godsend when Megan Bayne’s partner, Penelope Ford, faced an injury that same month. Kross quickly went to work with the Megasus, soundly defeating Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa. Kross emphasized her dominance with a singles victory against Shirakawa.

While she didn’t defeat Willow Nightingale at AEW Revolution 2026 Zero Hour, she did have success later that night. There, Divine Dominion squashed Nightingale and Harley Cameron for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team belts.

The duo kept on going, steamrolling past enhancement talents Alex Gracia and Vipress in another quick bout. Not too long after, Divine Dominion took on Babes of Wrath in a rematch, once again victorious, on the March 28 AEW Collision.

Lena Kross may have a ways to go until she’s a huge focal point of AEW programming, but she’s had an incredible start. Visually, her standing by Megan Bayne’s side is striking, and their offense mirrors that aptly.

Thekla

February for our Toxic Spider may have had little in terms of matches, but she continued to excel in promos. March, nevertheless, had more in store for her. With AEW Revolution being the promotion’s first pay-per-view in 2026, that was natural. On March 4, she retained her AEW Women’s World Championship against former title holder Thunder Rosa.

Not forgetting her Sisters of Sin, Thekla joined them as Triangle of Madness, squashing Karisma, Tatevik, and Viva Van ahead of her AEW Revolution rematch against Kris Statlander. Champion and challenger went for a Best Two Out of Three Match, ending in a toxic 2-1 win. I believe she might have been in store for a match against “Timeless” Toni Storm heading into AEW Dynasty, but due to a backstage assault, that wasn’t to be the case.

However, Mina Shirakawa stepped into Toni’s boots, sadly, in a losing effort on the March 25 AEW Dynamite. This bled into the April build for Thekla versus Jamie Hayter at AEW Dynasty. 2026 is still going strong for Thekla!

MJF

With MJF, it’s easy to miss just how thoroughly great he is in the ring. His voice is so loud, and his matches are so sporadic, that you’d be forgiven for questioning his place on the card, especially as a top champion. I even hesitated placing him outside the Honorable Mentions. Yet, his motormouth sold his matches in March like he was David Ogilvy (look him up).

During this third month of the year, MJF retained his title against Kevin Knight in a close match. Later that night, he cost Knight of the AEW Men’s Trios World Championship against the Don Callis Family. This sparked a transactional relationship between the champ and the heel stable.

Not only did he rub salt in Knight’s wound, but he spat in the face of AEW Men’s World Championship challenger Hangman Adam Page. When he and Page squared up in a Texas Death Match at AEW Revolution, much was on the line for the begrudging title holder.

Fortunately for him, the stakes were also high for Page. Nothing too extensive, but definitely starting strong. Together, these Brits demolished former TNA and WWE tag team The IInspiration in less than two minutes on March 4’s Dynamite in El Paso, Texas.

Windsor and Hayter then entered the Triangle of Madness’s orbit when they faced Skye Blue and Julia Hart of Sisters of Sin. The Birds concluded that bout in under 10 minutes in Fresno, California, on March 18.

Triangle of Madness leader Thekla’s machinations would bring Hayter and Windsor into alignment with Mina Shirakawa. Uniting as a trio, Shirakawa and the Birds decisively defeated Aminah Belmont, Haven Harris & Nixi XS, ending March as it started, in under two minutes. Heading into AEW Dynasty, these English powerhouses are heading into April on separate paths for the time being.

Hayter is focused on Thekla for the pay-per-view. Meanwhile, Windsor joins husband Will Ospreay in his blood feud against the Death Riders, particularly opposing Marina Shafir. Either that or I was burnt out and didn’t realize it. Of course, naturally, the shows were great and entertaining, but I didn’t leave frothing at the mouth like I used to.

AEW Dynasty leaves me questioning if I’ll walk out of that changing, but with the returns we’ve seen since then, I’m optimistic. Unexpectedly, this is the first time I’ve included MJF as well. I see that the division and the Long Islander’s title reign is going strong through the end of April. What I’d like to watch would be something new for the tag team title scene, in addition to more National title defenses from Jack Perry.

Come AEW Dynasty, I expect most titles to change hands, though I foresee Thekla and MJF still holding the gold.

Don’t get it twisted, I loved AEW in March 2026.
