So much so that his advocate, Paul Heyman, issued an open challenge since Lesnar was pretty confident no one could ever tower over him when it comes to the square circle.

That is, until the “Ruler” stepped up to the plate. Since coming to WWE via NXT, Oba Femi is as unstoppable as unstoppable can get, winning gold immediately and running roughshod over the NXT roster as NXT Champion. When Femi showed up on the main roster, it wasn’t any different, decimating anyone who dared to stand in his path.

WWE Universe, does that sound familiar? Well, it’s because that is Brock Lensar’s brand: “Suplex Everybody.” Eat, Sleep, Break the Streak, Repeat. Being dominant was the thing that Lesnar was known for in his two-decade-long WWE career.

Unfortunately, when Femi stepped up to the plate amidst the multiple call-outs from Brock on WWE Monday Night Raw, more often than not, Oba got the better of the Beast.

That said, WrestleMania 42 will be the ultimate best as the unstoppable force once again meets the immovable objects. It’s Goliath versus Goliath in Las Vegas!

<smartframe-embed class="smartframe_wp_element" customer-id="b0c95bc04383cef69c6b47df872135cf" image-id="WmOBwm6uflpg" style="width: 100%; display: inline-flex; max-width: 3232px; aspect-ratio: 3232/2586;" ></smartframe-embed>

Will Brock Lesnar reassert his dominance as the ultimate force in WWE? Or will Oba Femi send him off into the sunset and usher in an era of “new beast” in WWE?

World Heavyweight Championship Match

For the majority of the 2020s, thus far, Roman Reigns has dominated atop WWE. He had a record-breaking title reign that went on for nearly four years. In the blink of an eye, Reigns was without a title and was knocked off his perch at WrestleMania 40 via Cody Rhodes, finishing the story. 2026 saw the “OTC” refocus and start his quest to be the main man in WWE once again, winning the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble Match and calling his shot at WrestleMania 42.

<smartframe-embed class="smartframe_wp_element" customer-id="8afcbf7a9ed3fd6bf7763b62addc7cf8" image-id="3He6Gqf0sOwJ" style="width: 100%; display: inline-flex; max-width: 2554px; aspect-ratio: 2554/4008;" ></smartframe-embed>

It’s no secret that Reigns knew exactly who he wanted to face, and that’s none other than the “Best in the World” and current reigning, defending World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk. These two have a long history, spanning as far back as over a decade. Now, they find themselves as the two top guys running WWE in the current age.

Reigns and Punk are two very different people, but they both have one thing in common: they want things done their way. Roman became the “Tribal Chief” because he felt he was the only one who could take this business back to its glory days. As for Punk, he strived to be the guy who isn’t exactly the cookie-cutter embodiment of a top WWE star, that fans connected with, who took no BS from anybody, and even called out their bosses or people who thought they were above everybody.

<smartframe-embed class="smartframe_wp_element" customer-id="b0c95bc04383cef69c6b47df872135cf" image-id="WmOB23sTk9n8" style="width: 100%; display: inline-flex; max-width: 3991px; aspect-ratio: 3991/2660;" ></smartframe-embed>

Sadly, this crusade to become WWE’s top champion became so much more personal with family tragedies getting taken into account, longevity, and outright disdain being the driving force of the main event of night 2 of WWE WrestleMania 42.

Reigns wants to prove that CM Punk needs to step aside and let him take control once again, because he’s not the right guy for the job, nor was he ever. In classic Punk fashion, he wants to kill all convention and get into the mind of Reigns and reassert that he belongs here and he’s the only guy that can guide this company and have it not fail.

Fortunately, on night 2 of the main event of WrestleMania 42, the biggest match of the two-day affair, maybe the biggest match in all of WrestleMania history, transpires as Roman Reigns challenges CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship.

With the fate of the top spot of WWE in the balance, who will answer the call?

WWE WrestleMania 42 Preview & Match Card (4/19/26) – Night 2:

World Heavyweight Championship Match: CM Punk (c) vs. Roman Reigns

Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi

WWE Women’s Championship Match: Jade Cargill (c) vs. Rhea Ripley

Finn Balor vs. Dominik Mysterio

Intercontinental Championship Match – Ladder Match: Penta (c) vs. JD McDonagh vs. Dragon Lee vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Rusev

United States Championship Match: Sami Zayn (c) vs. Trick Williams (w/ Lil Yachty)

*Card subject to change

The Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, had better be ready because WWE WrestleMania 42 is not quite done after Saturday night, as “Sin City” will send off the “Grandaddy of them All” in the biggest way possible for night 2 of the two-night extravaganza.
